Advantages: Friendly and Comfortable
Disadvantages: In need of some updating

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in Summer 2006 and had very little to fault. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was that it accepted dogs and our dog could not have been made more welcome. On check in we were issued with a Doggy Welcome pack that had details of walks from the hotel and what dogs were allowed and not allowed to do at the hotel. Advantages: Good location, central to village and the Lake District, nice staff
Disadvantages: EXpensive for what it was, poor decor in rooms, bathroom terrible

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday June 09. Despite the fact that they advertised the fact that the hotel was being refurbished there was little eveidence of this. The room was claen and last decorated in about 1985! The bathroom was tatty and the shower din't work very well. .
