    The Bell in Driffield is part of the Best Western Chain. Best Western is an international group of independent hotels, it is probably the largest brand of hotels in the world. I've never stayed at an overseas Best Western but have stayed at quite a few in the UK. They tend to be 3* hotels all with individual features. Not the standard big chain (with standard room sizes and incredibly boring….). Best Western Hotels tend to have lots of character and that traditional hotel ambience.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Very dated decor

    I stayed at The Bell in Driffield for a weekend in March with my partner. We were able to book online through www.driffieldspa.co.uk but because the Spa and Hotel are seperate business's (I think) but work with each other there was a bit of confusion about booking the weekend together, and my partner had to wait for the spa to call the hotel to book a room on the days they had room in the spa ect. It all got a bit confusing but worked out in the end. We booked The Fragrant Retreat De-Luxe Break, which included bed, breakfast and evening meal at The Bell.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Poor parking,poor leisure centre,very exspensive,poor accommadation in need of repair,poor menu.

    I have no words to describe how bad a experience my time at this overpriced establishment was,I have stayed in Best Western Hotels for many years and this is without doubt my worst stay ever,causing me to cut short my break.Getting in and out of the car park is a nightmare and it is double yellow lines everywhere near the premises.The language and rowdy behaviour from the pub near the car park entrance was terrible.The menu is poor with very little choice and the dining room is like your grannies old parlour only not as inviting,The corridors going to the rooms are like a medieval torture dark ... more
