    Advantages Advantages Lovely Old Building. Fabulous View. Wonderful Food. Service.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Shortage of Parking. Some dingy, scruffy stairs and passageways. Dirty Curtains.

    NOTE TO CIAO: Strictly speaking I myself have to regard this review as "Off Topic" as the Grand has not been part of the Best Western group for some years.     Advantages Advantages Good quality, pleasant helpful staff.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A walk to the centre

    We were only going away for a couple of days but for some reason, known only to him, my husband decided that he had very particular requirements as to where we were going to stay and what he expected from the hotel. I managed to book a discounted room at the Grand Hotel in Torquay which seemed to match my husband's requirements for an easy walk to the beach and "a proper breakfast". We arrived at the hotel and although the car parking spaces were rather tight and the places limited, the receptionist and other staff were especially polite and helpful.
