Blackpool Pleasure Beach attracts around 6million visitors a year, which placed it joint 11th (with Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida) in the "Attendance 2006" for worldwide theme parks making it the only UK Theme park to make it in the top 25. ...back from a weekend in Blackpool and we decided to spend the day at the Pleasure Beach, after spending our £30 on a Show and Ride wristband, at first I thought this was pricey, but after finding out you could also buy tickets at a £1 each in books of 4, and some of the rides being 8 tickets, and the wristband includes one of the shows in the eve, thought it was definately better value for money, we headed off round the pleasure beach! So many rides ...
...definately getting our moneys worth, a couple of things we went on more than once!! Valhalla definately had to be my favourite, but be warned you get VERY wet! Its well worth investing £1.50 in the rain macs that are sold, unless of course it is the middle of summer then its a great way to cool off! I went to Blackpool with hubby and four children one of which is 11 months. All of the children enjoyed the rides but my 11 month old was refused admittance on all rides but 2 which was the monorail and a small train that goes around beaver creek (childrens section). I was very dissappointed as there wasn't an under 2 section. Perhaps just a small indoor soft games room would suffice. Lots of parents/carers were walking around holding the children ...
...am sure something could be done at relatively little cost compared with what white knuckle rides cost to devise and build. I ended up looking after little one full time so then the rest of the children got full use of their wristbands needless to say i didn't!!! I do understand there was no charge for the little one but i think there still be some provision. in respnse to some of the comments....I did say the rest of the children did enjoy the rides ...

blackpool pleasure beach is great to go to and with the new ride infusion just opened why not go, there is lots of great rides, areas seperate for younger children. i have been quite a few times, the rides are great, when there open, we went in november when only half the park was open for £15 pound it wasnt bad however with the high winds most of the rides were closed. i also went in febuary, that was great, £15 and the whole park was open, allthough ...
...our way there and back and with no car it was suprisingly easy, theres trains which drop you off within 5mins walkin distance(right next to the blackpool pleasure beach hotel). overall the park is great, it seems a bit expensive but you get your moneys worth, great parks, great rides. ...

i last visited about a month ago from now (23.7.06). the beach is fun for the kids and great if the weather is nice the sea is very cloudy so i woul'dnt hav egone for a swim. teh piers located near teh beach are great one has apub at then end wich is value for money. the fair was quite busy when i wen't but didnt have to wait long for the rides. the only thing i found was a discrace was the womans toilets they were full of sand and wet all on the ...

I like most of the rides, especially the 'big one', the price of day rider is fare, but for single rides is a bit expensive. the environment is good as well, as it lies on the beach, people could get fun not only from the rides, but also the beautiful environment of beach. there are so many rides that we could choose, more than other similar places such as Alton Tower, and the average waiting time is lesser than others. ...
