Advantages: Good location, Cheap Prices, Nice Staff Disadvantages: Rather Basic Room and Optional cost for breakfast
...went there,i stayed at the blossoms hotel which was in the Clifton Area of York about a ten minute stroll from the City Centre. I booked a double room for two nights which was £45 per room per night which seemed like a bargain as everything else at that time was well over £60 prpn. The Hotel is approx :
15 minute walk from the train station
10 minute walk from York Minster
8 minute walk from the local tourist information centre
5 minute walk ... ...i called them up and they allowed us to check in earlier so this was a good start,as some places don't allow you to do this or even charge you £5 extra to do this which seems very unreasonable. Locating the place was easy as it is just a matter of walking up Bootham and it is on the main road, opposite a prestigious private school. The entrance was quite nice and the first thng that hits you is the central heating that was on full blast as you come ...

Advantages: close to city short walk Disadvantages: road noise - felt like a students house or worse !
broken toilet seat 4 year old boy nearly fell off extremely hot water from taps well in excess of 60 degrees c which are fitted incorrectly ie hot on right not left 4 year old boy only uses cold to wash his hands and knows cold on right fortunately he always tests it first, shower blocked 1" of water still there hours later which meant showering was limited to when tray was full get out at that point ! which was just about the length of time you ... ...dont stay in a front room traffic noise all night and i do mean all night no double glazing ! room not cleaned properly on making bed found used tissues!! tucked away very basic and im no critic only ever stayed in likes of travel lodges which in comparison wow!! only stayed because i paid upfront fell for that. This place has health and safety issues power points are extensions screwed to chest of draws ...
