...flash of inspiration. The Blue Planet Aquarium!
I had driven past the Blue Planet Aquarium on numerous occasions but had never actually visited the place. Situated at the end of junction 10 just off the M53 motorway, the Blue Planet is in a prime location, not only for locals, but also for tourists visiting Cheshire.
***First Impressions***
To be honest, the first thing that sprung to mind when we arrived in the car ...

You will find the aquarium at Junction 10 of the M53 in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Once you come off the motorway, simply follow the brown signs and it's easy to find. There is a large carpark which is free. If you are ...

...the big fishys swim past. Blue Planet has several shark species including Sand Tiger, Lemon and Reef Sharks, plus assorted Southern Stingrays and other fish. Throughout the day there are divers in the water and feeding displays with a dry presenter explaining whats going on, the one we saw was popular with the kids and pitched at a level which made sense to them without feel patronising to the adults.
From you can go back through the exhibits you ...

In March 2000 my husband & I became qualified Divers in Goa with Barracuda Divers. Situated near Cheshire Oaks Outlet Mall, the Blue Planet is signposted and very easy to get to from the main roads.
Upon arrival we went inside to a large foyer and although it was very busy there were no queues to actually get in which was a ...

...heard great things about the Blue Planet Aqarium before we went and my kids were really excited about going.
When we arrived it looked as id we were going to waiting ages as the large car park was hammered but I was pleasantly surprised. hey had all the desks open and had an express chack in desk for people who had prebooked (we hadn\'t).
I was very taken aback the prices we were charged £36 (this has now gone up to £40) for a family ticket ...

Quick review of Blue Planet Aquarium Review ofBlue Planet Aquariumby
ksranji
We visited last May and the price for adults was £10.50, a bit expensive we thought. I have just looked at the site and prices for 2008 are now £13.00 an increase of 25% how on earth do they justify that? There is a review here from 2004 and the price for adults was said to be expensive at £8.95. It has increased by 45% in four years. You can get a season ticket for £39, but once you've seen it, and it was fantastic, who would want to return because you couldn't possibly beat that first experience of seeing sharks that close.

...layout and features of the Blue Planet Aquarium in excellent detail so I won't attempt to repeat any of this very useful information. I will however give my honest take on this venue that I visited recently, and is only about 15 miles from where I live.
We were a family of five, myself and my wife (both retired but not OAP's), my daughter and her husband together with his son aged 7.
It was a cold January mid week morning about 10 am so I thought ...
