Brambles is a beautiful setting for a coffee shop on the banks of the River Wear with affordable hot and cold food. You could have lunch/dinner or snacks here and the food has been tremendous everytime we have visited. The staff are very polite and I think it holds about 100 inside (in a lovely cosy atmosphere) and also around 50-60 outside in a large outdoor seating area.
