This is a large pub/restaurant that is now part of the Whitbread chain, it can be found just off of the A167 about half way between Durham and Chester le Street. ...for their meal. The Brewers Fayre has plenty of space and the kids sit at a long table well away from the bar. Now on arrival they were asked what drink they wanted: water, squash etc but that's all, dinner is a buffet affair. Very bad experience here. We waited 50 minutes for food & when I went back to the bar to get a refund I was not given an apology nor did he attempt to see where our food was. When he refunded me he gave us our money for the food but had the cheek to charge us for our drinks. Also when I got my credit card statement in they did not refund me my money & I therefore had to send a copy of my credit card statement & the refund receipts (which luckily ...
