Advantages: Local to me Disadvantages: Rude and un-interested staff
My local Brewers Fayre is The Hurlet, 2 Glasgow Road, Barrhead, Glasgow. This Opinion isn't going to very long, as I am only going to write about the bar side of things.
Last night, my boyfriend and I decided to go for a drink. As he had had a long day at work, we decided to go to The Hurlet for a quiet drink. It's ALWAYS quiet in there - probably due to the attitude of the staff employed there.
When we arrived, we noticed that the bar was actually ... ...have emailed my complaint to WHITBREAD who own Brewers Fayre. From now on though, we shall be drinking elsewhere! ...

Advantages: reasonably priced. Modern lovely decor. Little nooks of tables. Disadvantages: as a smoker a little shelter somewhere outside
jan 2008 The Hurlet has been closed for a while for a major refurbishment, and WOW !!! What a difference !
The decor is modern without being over baring or too minimalistic.
The menu has been brought up to speed, with some nice fresh new ideas aswell as your old classics. And not a Micro Meal in sight!!!
Prices are very reasonable, with deals to be had, as well as a full stocked bar from real ales to fine wines.
We live locally and have always ... ...a couple or just along for a couple of drinks.
The refurb has gone beyond our expectations, with all its little nooks and crannies...the bar or restaraunt can be really busy especially at the weekends, but you would never know, as tables are tucked away giving it a little bistro feel, or with the over sized sofas and fire places you could be tucked up in your own little lounge.
Cant wait for the summer months to come in, the large wrap around garden ...
