Brittania airways, a large company flying out of most airports. But how good are they? Well, I fly regularly with my family and have used several airlines. Brittania is connected to bargain type holidays, package holidays. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not at all personalised. Advantages: clean planes, friendly staff, fast check-in, extra baggage allowance
Disadvantages: not having the veg meal that was asked for this year

...that we have flown which Britannia and the captain has had to threaten that he will have to divert due to people trying to have crafty smokes on board. Even with slight mishap's likesome of the inflight entertanment tapes going missing the crew took it in thier stride. The planes themselves are painted in the pale blue of Thompsonfly.com as they are now part of their company which in my opinion makes them look alot better than their old levery ... Read review

A friend found some super cheap last-minute flights to the Caribbean for the four of us (two couples), I was thrilled and not about to say no just because it was a charter flight. My boyfriend was less enthuastic, and thankfully more realistic about what eight hours in sardine tin hell would be like. I recently flew to Philadelphia(USA) and back to england with BA and I thought it wasn't what i was expecting. I had a high opinion of BA and had been lead to believe I would be travelling on a luxury plane as the flight lasted for 8 hours!, but I found it was cramped, had only around 2 decent radio stations on board which were just recordings that got continually played and there was only one screen for the movies which wasn't very well situated ... ...my holidays! I'd heard Britannia were a good line and I was not to be disappointed. For those who have not heard of Brittania, or don't know much about Brittania they are part of Thomson. So be warned...if you go on a Thomson holiday you are more than likley to end up on a Brittania Flight. Disadvantages: Could have been more professional all the way throught the flight

I have flown with Brittania Airways once June this year as I was a shareholder with Thomson Holidays. As soon as I got onto the plane (I think it was a boeing 747 (the big plane) I knew that I was not going to enjoy the flight. The staff were panicing, they looked untidy, and some were short tempered. I went to Florida recently from Manchester Airport. The treatment was ok but Not the best, we were one of the first to check in so we had some time to loom around. when we finally got onto the aircraft we were greated by some very sad looking individuals. We got on and found our selves to be put into some of the most uncomfortable seats your can imagine, we weren;t near a window either so there was nothing to take your mind away from the lack of comfort ... I flew with Britannia last summer when I went to Florida. The flights weren't the cheapest, so I thought that they can't be too bad. When we booked the flights we were told that we would have televisions in the back of the head rests, so the first thing we noticed when we got on the plane was no TV's, just 3 14" ones at the front of the cabin, and having a 6 foot plus man sitting in front of you dosent help. I flew Brittania recently and I can honestly say that I would never fly with them again. Of course, one never expects luxury on a package holiday flight but passengers should expect at least a certain standard. I flew to Gran Canaria on Brittania from Birmingham airport. The flight out wasn't too bad because obviously I was excited by the holiday. I was still rather cramped though, in fact, too cramped. I know airlines have a profit to make but ... Read review

Disadvantages: Cramped seating when you're sharing your seat with an infant.

I travelled to Menorca with Brittania as a last minute passenger with my daughter who was seven months at the time. Imagine the luggage, the pram, the changing bag, hand luggage and baby in tow and only one pair of hands. I wasn't looking forward to the journey, it was baby's first trip and my first trip with baby. The cabin crew on the Brittania flight were fantastic. The planes they use are all very nice, and have good safety records. The airline itself has an excellent safety record. They make a strong emphasis on the importance of safety before the plane takes off. The air crew are all very nice, friendly and helpful. The captain informs you of flight details as well as the on board computer system, which can be innacurate on occasions. On a number of ocassions the pilot (s) have let me go up to the cockpit ... Last year i went on holiday to Ibiza and had to fly with what was supposed to be a good airline. Well that is what i thought anyway. We arrived at Mancester airport at 6.30am because we were flying at 9.00am and had to book in and all that. so we book in at 7.00am because they had to check all the bags because they had, had a bomb threat and was told it was going to spain but they didnt say were in spain.
