...an inferior service to the British Airways flights out of Heathrow in Business (also there is the issue of timings which are not great for business travellers and price which I will come on to). Anyway, I therefore have to travel from heathrow in most cases and that is never a hugely enjoyable experience, role on the opening of Terminal 5 I say.

In both airports the check in arrangements are generic - by this I mean wherever you are ...

WHO ARE THEY?
The original British Airline, and the first full UK carrier, they fly to virtually every part of the world through their operations, which incorporate a range of franchises and membership of the "oneworld" alliance, which also includes American Airlines, Aer Lingus, Cathay Pacific, FinAir, Iberia, LanChile and Qantas.
From their website:
On their own they fly to 152 destinations in 72 countries, on the oneworld network, 565 destinations ...

This op will really concentrate on the latest flights I have been on, and my experience of BA on these flights.
** Who are British Airways? **
They are basically the national airline for the UK (although Richard Branson might have something to say about that!). BA fly to most destinations around the ...

Advantages: Very good new product for intercontinental flights, good service to premium passengers, nice lounges. Disadvantages: Terrible meals, small seat pitch in Economy, rather unfriendly staff in Economy, outdated service philosophy, wrong strategies.
British Airways boast themselves for "defining 21st Century Air Travel” with a range of new products and services. And whilst BA is indeed a very innovative airline, it still hasn't invented the right medicine against its greatest flaws: wrong focus and bad attitude. And bad taste, I should add.
If we believe the official BA lingo, then everything about this airline is new. New Concorde, New First, New Club World, New World Traveller Plus, New ...

In February our family holiday took us to Florida. This was to be a special holiday because it was probably the last time we would all be together on holiday - both my children are grown up and really don't want to accompany us anymore. However this time my mum was also coming. At the time she was 75 and it was her first visit to America so it really was an extra special occasion. Because of the terrible September 11th tragedies there were fewer flights ...

...For this trip I used British Airways web site as this would give me a discount of my hotel costs.
I find BA’s website a lot better for booking flights than any of the other airlines websites, the main reason for this is it is very easy to see all the options available to get the best price.
You start by entering the airport you wish to leave from, the destination airport this can be the name or the three letter airport code if you know it, ...

I flew BA from Heathrow to Barcelona (BA 482, Euro Traveller) with four friends last September. Being rather impoverished students, we booked via BA's website at £100 each, including taxes. This would be the first time I'd flown since going to Indoenisia in 1997 at the tender age of 14, and considering one of our engines blew up and our airline (Garuda Indonesia) had a fatal crash the day after out flight, I was rather anxious. Fortunately, there ...

Poor old British Airways, no longer enjoying the position of Brits first choice for air travel. It all seems to have gone downhill for them since Thatcher tried to cover their modern art tail design with a hanky she produced from her gigantic bag. I don't know why she didn't just concentrate and melt it with her demonic powers.
Anyway things have been going considerably worse since the twin towers toppled and BA have announced their decision to ...

Recently we tried out British airways after a gap of over 10 years, (had a bad experience then) We flew from Longhaul as it was the only airline flying non stop direct to our destination.
Check in was great as we checked in over the internet before leaving for the airport,
We had to queue for almost an hour to hand over our baggage though as the airport was so busy they had only 1 dedicated baggage drop off point and this was also being used ...

I recently flew British Airways from Heathrow to Tokyo and back for the first time in a long haul in Summer 2008.
BA was picked and booked not out of choice it must be said, as i got a significant reduction on the price of Economy tickets through a friend...but as the reduction was so substantial i thought i could last a 12 hour flight in economy class.
I have to say before i got on the flight i didn't really have any high expectations ...

Advantages: Lots of snacks and refreshments on long haul flights. Disadvantages: Usually more expensive than other airlines.
British airways (BA) has been a constant staple of mine whenever I have to travel to various parts of the world. Usually I would purchase tickets based on price but if its a difference of just a couple of tens of dollars, I would pick BA. I have several reasons for doing so. First, I get frequent flyer points because BA is in the one world alliance. Second, its an airline I am comfortable with.
I had flown with BA to various parts of the world ...

I'd been having a really, really terrible time at work of late for one reason or 25 more (Ahh, bless!) The SAD season was approaching faster than a boy racer on the outside lane of the M25 and I wanted a bit of luxury. A bit of sun. A touch of R&R. Answer? Holiday! Due to the devastation of the 11th September I wasn't that keen on a long-haul flight so needed somewhere closer and with a touch of sun. Never been to Spain before - prefer farther afield ...
