British Airways is the World's Favourite Airline? How can they get away with this claim? Surely this is marketing hype in the extreme. Maybe its favourite airline not to travel on, favourite airline to slag off, favourite airline to arrive late, favourite airline for masochists who enjoy being extorted...... I really resent British Airways unfair position. They have a monopoly on a lot of routes and they extort money from passengers. Take the Edinburgh ... ...- London Heathrow - as low as £120. Why the difference, because there is competition on the London route but none to Southampton. This is the same for Birmingham and various other UK airports. The most annoying thing is that they claim they dont make money! What the hell do they do with it. Line their fat cat pockets, thats what. Compare them with Ryanair. A no frills airline ( this means you dont get a plastic meal and a hot brown drink ) that makes ...

I have flown with British Airways on a number of occasions to European destinations, always in economy, and to be honest it never has been an issue – the flights were short and in flight cabin service good. ...to Dallas Fort-Worth, Texas, on British Airways. I booked my ticket just after Christmas, so about 4 months prior to travel, and i got a really good deal. As I was staying with relatives, there wasn't any need for me to book any hotels or cars through BA. The online booking was really easy. ...this time I flew with British Airways. Having had bad experiences with other airlines, I was interested to see how they compared.
British Airways has a large fleet of aircraft, including Boeing 737-777's, Airbus A319 and A320 and the Concorde. They fly to over 200 destinations worldwide, but are also part of One World, which includes Aer Lingus, American Airlines, Quantas and Iberia. As part of One World, they can now fly to 570 destinations worldwide.

The plane was clean and tidy, with comfortable seats. The seats had a useful pull down cushion on either side of the head, which made it much more comfortable to sleep. We were also given a blanket, a pillow and a bag containing socks, toothbrush and paste and an eyecover. These made sleeping on the flight much more comfortable than ...

For some reason British Airways (BA) came to mind and so when I was looking for the flights I went straight to their web-site. The recent news that Concorde has been flight-tested with a view to resuming normal service, after the terrible disaster in Paris last year, was eagerly welcomed by the many aviation followers and admirers of this beautiful aircraft.

Until quite recently I flew weekly from London to Copenhagen, and back. At first, as a patriotic Brit, I wanted to use BA. Then I realised it offered me nothing. SAS is much better... (All these comments relate to trips to and from Copenhagen).
First as a holder of discounted economy tickets I would get precisely NO air miles/executive member points even flying every week - discounted tickets don't count for this on BA. SAS (Skandinavian Airlines) ... ...you use, independent of whether they're discounted or not (you get double points in Business class).
Second, and I know this is petty, but that's why it iritates me, on SAS they have a generous stand of UK and Danish/Swedish newspapers outside the plane for you to pick up as you board - i.e. first come first served, independent of class. On BA, they wheel a trolley around business class and economy gets nothing (normally). For 35p per paper, that's ...

After getting a rather large bonus, my boyfriend decided he was taking me away..........to New York!!! --Booking--
Booking is extremely simple. The best way to book is through www.ba.com . Once you have chosen the day you wish to fly you are then offered different times to fly (If they have more than one flight per day). Each time has the cost of the flight next to it so again very clear.
Once you have chosen your dates and your times you can also add car hire and hotels to your booking. All they need is your card details and you are booked!
As we're not rich and the bonus wasnt 'that' large we opted for World Traveller.

...my first ever flight with British Airways recently on their Birmingham/Amsterdam service. My partner Jayne and I had arranged a short break holiday in Amsterdam with Cresta holidays and BA were the airline used. The check-in desks didn't actually open until an hour before the flight was due to depart (6.45 a.m.), so we could have had an extra hour in bed. Oh well, you live and learn.
Checking in and boarding was very straightforward. Perhaps because the flight was less than half-full, the check-in staff seemed less harrassed than they often do and actually managed a few smiles. On the outward flight we were given the choice of window ...
