Advantages: Good Prices, inflight meal, can be cheaper
Disadvantages: can be more expensive, slower plane

I am a frequent traveller from Belfast to Edinburgh where our regional office is and due to expense cutbacks have been told to fly Easyjet. The prices can vary from £20 to £120 dependant on when you are travelling and as Easyjet have bought Go these fares may increase. Disadvantages: plenty unless you are into pain

I can only imagine that anyone who has praise for B.A.either works for them and writing good descriptions is part of their job description OR they are 4 foot 6 inches tall and weigh less than 9 stone. I have just experienced a long haul flight to China and back from Hongkong and I would not wish my experience on anyone. Advantages: They fly on the route I want. Sometimes they are very helpful and pleasant.
Disadvantages: They can be late, rude and unhelpful.

The other opinions of BA seem to either praise them as wonderful, or criticize them for being terrible. As always, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I fly with BA nearly 60 times a year. This is not out of choice, but because they are the only airline which does my route at a convenient time. Advantages: Short distance flights are comfortable and pleasant, aircrew are very helpful
Disadvantages: boeing 777 is of very poor quality and makes long distance flights very uncomfortable

British Airways are said to be one of the best airlines around but from what I can tell are really nothing special. I recently flew from London to Tampa airport in America and found that the Ba Boeing 777 was of a very poor quality. The legroom was disgraceful and the seats were extremely uncomfortable. ...meal hot. Advantages: To much to mention but one e.g. is free connecting flights.
Disadvantages: Ok value for money, not great.

...from Newcastle to orlando with british airways. We had a great experience that has convinced us to fly with them again. You cannot fly strait from Newcastle to Orlando non stop, so we were provided with free connecting flights to London Heathrow. The air craft was excellent. Disadvantages: Flights cost slightly more than so other airlines to the US

...at the airport which the British Airways staff were only too happy to help me with. I had recently been involve in a car crash and find walking hard, partically long distances. The airline provided me with wheel chair assistance to and from the air plane. This also included transfers though customs and passport control. Advantages: Brilliant sleep and great for big folks who hate the economy sqeeze
Disadvantages: No additional benefits apart from seat

Disadvantages: Not the easiest Airline to get upgraded

There are a few sure fire ways to get an upgrade from BA, but you need first to understand the way that things work with them. Firstly they, like all airlines oversell if they can on all flights...i.e. if there are say 200 seats on the flight, then they will sell 220 tickets, banking on 10% of the people not showing up, the most common of these are people who have paid for the flexibility of traveling Club or First where they are able to cancel ... Their punctuality is unbeatable, and as soon as you step onto the aircraft, you cannot fail to be impressed with the cabin staff who are always well turned out, very curteous, and most helpful. Disadvantages: Check in at Gatwick gives you high blood pressure

...a chaotic setup for the British National carrier. You will end up anxiously cueing at security check wondering if you will make it. The price, and the stress, coupled with the fact that the service is no better than any other airline, makes it one to avoid, I´m afraid.
