BMI is the UK's second biggest airline, with some 2,000 scheduled flights a week serving some 10 different countries with 28 destinations. ...(April 02), we flew with British Midland. This was booked as part of a package with accommodation and BMI was the carrier. Check-in at Edinburgh airport was fine - in fact it wasn't very busy at all as WE (read I) had misread the details and were among the last half dozen or so people to check-in. Disadvantages: bad personal experiences regarding baggage

Having previously used British Midland for several flights from Heathrow to Edinburgh and back (special offers made it as cheap to fly as take the train…) and not having any recollection of the flights being out of the ordinary (thereby presumably indicating that the flights were neither eventful, nor was the service so exemplary or so shocking that the flight was memorable…) that this opinion is based solely on my experiences of a recent return flight ... Disadvantages: some rude staff in the airport, catering not always good

...looked at the competition of British Airways which were much more expensive even the low cost Jet2 were £20 more expensive but I settled with BMI fro a Manchester to Edinburgh return for around £63 which I considered very good. I booked a couple of weeks before I was due to fly and then out of curiosity did a test booking a week or so before and the flights were then roughly £200 which proves if you book in plenty of time you will get the better ... ********Background******* BMI (British Midland) is becoming a growing Airline, they have many sites now that are always popping up around the country. They are also getting new flight paths all the time. (Which helps the customer and keeps them happy) BMI have flights that go to Washington and Boston but only from Heathrow or Manchester. British Midland offers from time to time several web deals on flights. I have managed to fly from Glasgow to London (return) for GBP 19.00 only. The service was as always good, there were no delays and you are not chucked down to the end of the plane nor did staff ignore you because you were on a cheap deal. ...boarded that i realised that British midland is infact an excellent airline with modern planes and a top class service with a comfortable and convenient cabin.
