...the bay! Bubba Gumps is a themed restaurant, based on the Forest Gump movie. Bubba was Forest's friend and the two of them planned on having their own Shrimp boat when they got out of Vietnam. This restuarant stretches the theme by pretending to be a restaurant thats part of the Bubba Gump empire. The restaurant's are decorated like fishing shacks, and they host a lot of memorabilia from the movie. To get attention for another drink or any thing ... ...from "Run Forest Run" to "Stop Forest Stop" and ANY waiter/waitress will help you if the Stop sign is showing. But back to reality. What's it really like? The food is predominately seafood, but you can get burgers, steak, ribs, etc too. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Especially right now with the pound/dollar ratio. Of course Shrimp is the speciality and they have some amazing things to try. My absolute, number one favourite - Shrimpin' ...

For those who do not know the name of the restaurant is not coincidental to the name of the company created by Forest Gump in the film of the same name. Instead the whole restaurant plays homage to the film with the main dining room decorated with script pages, storyboards, costumes, ... ...If you hated the film stop reading here as there are better restaurants in San Francisco which sell the same sorts of Food. Go here for he experience and fun that the place generates.

Horrible !!!!!! our waitress was the worst I have ever had at any place she was not helpful at all !! , the food was not very good at all (stuft shrimp) cajun Shrimp :( we paid to much for food we did not eat I ate 2 bites and I couldnt eat anymore. And after I told the waitress I did not care for my food she didnt even bother to offer me something else of remove the entree from my check I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!! ...
