I didn't really rate my trip on the low-cost airline, Buzz. Although the fare was very cheap, the seats were cramped and the aircraft had an unusual and little unpleasant smell. They have a lounge which you can pay £10 to sit in if you would like to enhance your experience. I was attracted to Buzz purely on the basis of price. The Daily Mail had an offer which allowed me to fly to Hamburg for £25 each way, inc. taxes. It was a great deal, so I booked it without hesitation. The website is very clean and simple, and seems to be updated very frequently. ...could tell you how wonderful Buzz are seen as i work for them (hence my dooyoo name) but i wont. That would look too biased. What I will tell you about is what they offer. They fly to various locations in Europe without treading on the toes of other budget airlines too much. For example, they do not fly to Ireland as this Market is flooded by Aer Lingus and Ryan Air. The low cost airline buzz is excellent. I have flown with buzz to Helsinki for £75 which is a total bargain. Their normal flights are very reasonably priced and they often have offers on when you can get outstanding deals. I'm going to Frankfurt in October for £39 return! It's easy to book over the internet - www.buzzaway.com - and there are no tickets, you simply print out the booking confirmation they email to you. There is no food or drink provided ... Read review

Disadvantages: Rarely on time - allow for delayed departure and arrival

...but, for flights to Europe, Buzz (http://www.buzzaway.com) has the edge. I have now flown four times with Buzz and intend to fly at least another twice this year. Sometime ago I registered with Buzz the low cost airline..Because of this I received an email offering for 24 hours flights for £24.00 each way ....The flight had to be booked and paid for within the 24 hours . Buzz offers discount airfares on their planes to few select destinations they fly from smaller airports such as Stansted, to cut the cost of fights they cut out the free snack and beverages etc. Not bad I thought as my ususal charge for ... My first flight with Buzz was to Bordeaux from Stansted airport. The whole experience was a pleasant one. First of all, booking the flight on the Internet was not difficult. The site is easy to navigate and uses 128-bit SSL security. So, no problem at all. The return flight costs 78quid in total, the cheapest I can find. Buzz have managed to find a niche in the market for cheap low cost airlines without sacrificing service, standards or saftey. I have flow to paris and Chamberry with them recently and paid by far the cheapeast fair. You have to book well in advance to get the cheap seats but once on board the staff are friendly, the planes clean and comfortable and amazingly for a cheap airline seem to run on time. Disadvantages: onboard food and drink is a bit pricey

Buzz is a cheap, cheerful and friendly airline that always makes you feel welcome and special. I have travelled with them to Milan, only costing me £60 return, and found their service matched that of far more expensive companies such as British Airways and Virgin. I regularly fly Buzz but have experienced two situations that leave me more than a little disturbed. On one occasion on a flight from STN to Frankfurt the take-off aborted. I have no real problem with this - better to abort than take off with a problem. It was all down to a faulty door sensor. Perhaps more seriously, on a flight to Paris whilst taxiing to the departure runway I noticed a bolt on the flap area of the wing being buffeted in the ... Read review

Disadvantages: Unhelpful when it comes to carrying bikes.

I recently flew with Buzz for the first time, and thought I'd just compare it with the other budget airlines I've used. For a start, the flight was one of the cheapest I've come across - £32 return from Hamburg to London Stansted. Despite this, the plane was on time, the cabin crew were helpful, and our baggage came out promptly at the other end.
