Advantages: weather, people, beaches, food, prices, Disadvantages: too hot?
Cádiz. The place where I was born, and the place where I’ve always live (and still do). The are two Cádiz, the province and the town. The province is a small one, if you compare it to others provinces from Spain, like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or here, in the south of Spain, Seville. Cádiz, the town, is the capital of the province, and its also a very small one, with 150,000 inhabitants population. That makes Cádiz a ´familiar’ place, a place in ... ...busy at summer, although is not a typical Spanish town for holidays. That’s because as I said is a small town, and because Cádiz is one of those places Spanish people from other parts of the country spend their holidays at, and not only foreign people (but also). I think Cádiz is a good place to spend a few days, or weeks, of your holidays, because is cheap, very cheap (I’d say is one of the cheaper places of Spain), and because the weather is perfect, ...

Advantages: History, beahches, seafood, sherry Disadvantages: Can get unbearably hot in summer, the harsh Atlantic wind
...ORIENTATION
The city of Cadiz (it is also the chief town of Cadiz province) occupies the bulbous tip of a narrow peninsular on Spain's Atlantic Costa de la Luz ("Coast of Light"). What you find in Cadiz, and what is lacking, is tied up in the size of the land at the end of the peninsular. There is no room to add new housing or shopping centres or theme parks and for me, this is a great reason to visit Cadiz. - what you see is what you get and will ... ...impressive portal to the city. Cadiz is ninety minutes from Sevilla by train and only thirty from Jerez; budget airline Ryanair serves both Sevilla and Jerez, making Cadiz very accessible. Gibraltar and Malaga on the Mediterranean coast are a couple of hours away by road.
The great thing about Cadiz is that if you get lost you can easily sort it out because the sea is only ever a short walk away; at some point it blocks your path and you can re-orientate ...

Advantages: Cheap, Quite and a non turistic place Disadvantages: Windy, Very few people speak English
...was actually born there and Cadiz is both a city and a province. The city is a very small one, only 7 Km long and about 3Km wide. It has a few very nice hotels facing the beach, which is as long as the city and very crowded during the summer. Since the City is very near to Africa, the climax is very warm even during the winter. It is very humid as well, so it can get chilli at night.
It is a very familiar city but it is very difficult to find people ... ...and lay on the beach.
Cadiz province is mostly small white villages and plenty of mediterranean forest in the interior. Quite good for walking and climbing but not for raffting or any other river sport since it is mostly dry and the rivers you find are narrow.
The province has also a lot of coast and all the towns on the coast are small. There are a few places with Roman ruins and Beaches with clear water and not many people, since, as I said, ...
