...holiday eating out all over Cancun for decent food which cost us a fortune but it was absolutely necessary. The normal buffet was ok for breakfast. Lunch there was served again at dinner time. The Italian had a limited menu - just choose the pasta shapes you want and choose a colour of sauce and thats you. The mexican a la carte had to be booked that morning - limited spaces so if you were not up before 8am you didn't stand a chance. The mexican ... ...were only 5 main courses to choose from. Everything else about the hotel was fantastic - the entertainment, all day and all night was excellent. The pool areas were superb and spotless. The rooms were basic but clean and cool. The bathrooms were huge. Only one night did we experience nosiy neighbours. The hotel is in an excellent position on the beach right behind the Kulcancun Plaza - so shopping was close by. Nightlife in the hotel zone was great ...

...as eating out is expensive. Cancun is very beautiful at the moment but certain areas are destroyed by looking like a building site and there seems to be a lot of development going on which in my opinion will ruin the area - more mainland spain than tropical paradise. There is a great bus service which runs all night and follows the hotel route right along and is very cheap. Overall Cancun is a beautiful place but to be honest maybe not worth the ...

Advantages: sun and sea by day and partying at night Disadvantages: not for shopping
This was one of the best places to go if you want to relax by the pool and beach by day and party at night. It has been designed for mostly the Americans. The weather was really hot and we went during Easter 2005, which is spring break in America. The Americans had come to party really hard and most clubs have open bars which means from the entrance fees (usually $35usd, $350mex or £18) you get all you can drink all night long. To use the bus is ... ...of they include shopping, everyone will try to give you free trips or jewellery but beware it means 6 hrs of timeshares. Most of the jewellery there is cheap rubbish and there are few major electronics that you can buy. You also need to stay away from some tourist attractions for safety reasons, you should ask your holiday representatives about this. Advantages: Great beaches excellent nightlife lovely people make this an excelent oliday destination Disadvantages: no real disadvantages except time taken to reach here from the UK
...Yucatan Peninsular about 70klm from Cancun it has the best beaches here and the Main town of Puerto del carmen has excellent shopping .
This area is also good for diving and there is plenty to see.
Other attractions Include Chitzen Itza a Myan vilage complete with Pyramid though bit of warning take a good pair of trainers NO HIGH HEELS as there is a lot of walking and if you are affraid of heights dont cimb up the stairs of the Pyramid as the view ...

I think Cancun is a lovely place. Before booking and getting upset by what you see, remember this is a PURPOSE BUILT resort!!!!!
The hotels are set each side of a road, with the lagoon on one side and the carribean sea on the other. The beach is EXTREMELY clean, with soft white sand and clear blue sea. A breathtaking view!!!
Most hotels are all inclusive, which would be the best option, as it is expensive to eat out. A lot of Americans are attracted ... ...But again, this is mentioned in the brochure when booking. Although this isn't a cultural experience, it is warm, gorgeous and relaxing. There are trips available. We went swimming with dolphins, which is a wonderful experience. This can be done at the nearby waterpark (as we did), or at Xcaret. If you choose the waterpark, you pay for the swim and get free access to the water park for the rest of the day. Advantages: It's lively, fun, wacky and tacky!! Disadvantages: If you're looking for the 'real' Mexico, it's not the best place to start
...in the world but in Cancun the atmosphere is so different, it's electric - everyone really goes for it, it was so much fun and I never felt threatened or wary as I have in other clubs in Latin-America. - although, obviously you have got to keep an eye out - but that goes without saying- even in the UK. When my boyfriend suggested Coco Bongo I wasn't so sure but it proved to be one of our best nights out - ever! ...

...friends travelled by coach to CANCUN to visit the well-known nightclub 'coco-bongo'. In my opinion, It was one of the best experiences i have ever had! The entertainment was amazing, there was impersonitaors there such as Beyonce, Elton John, and the late Michael Jackson!
