Cape Town, South Africe (CPT)

Cape Town is another city with a brand new terminal complex. Although it is larger than the old one, it is still manageable, being basically one long building with one side facing the car park and the other the runway. You de-plane down covered steps and emerge blinking into the sun and heat and walk along the apron parallel to the terminal waiting area where friends and family press against the plate glass windows looking and waving at the emerging passengers. Having lived in South Africa, and done a lot of travelling, I can honestly say CPT is one of the most pleasant and easily accessible airports I have come across. Even though it is one of the main hubs for Southern Africa, it still retains a serene and relaxed atmosphere, and doesn't have the hectic, disorganised feel of Jo'burg. After one of the most memorable and scenic descents you can hope for, with spectacular views of the cape, Table Mountain, and the whole economic spectrum of the city, you arrive into a cool, clean, spacious hall. Cape Town is on myy list of top 10 places to visit when going on holiday in South Africa. It has something for everyone. Tjhere is a lvely waterfront, which offers everything from an indoor market. to a 3D cinema. The Cape Town aquariam is definitley worth a visit. It isn't like sea world, where you get to watch animals perform, but there is the most impressive shark tank, and I have been told that you can pay to swim with the sharks....if that iis your cup of tea.
