Advantages: New cars, no deposit, great VFM, pay on arrival

Avoid Carjet! Made a pre-paid booking on 1st July which was accepted only to receive an email a few hours later stating that there was no car available and that I would be refunded. That was almost 3 weeks ago! Despite many attempts to get my money back I still have not been refunded.

Disadvantages: A waste of your time

I've had just the one experience of Car Jet and it will be my last. Having spent ages navigating around their 'clunky' web-site I eventually found the car that I wanted at a reasonable price. I confirmed the booking, gave all the necessary details and awaited my confirmation. Disadvantages: do not always have offices at the airport.

...with Fuerteventura is that the CarJet office is not at the airport. Having said this, a rep meets you at the airport. You present him with your receipt (sent via email) and away you go! Upon departure all you have to do is leave the vehicle in a car park (5 min walk) with the keys in the glove box (not sure how safe this is!). The car presented to me was clean and in good condition. I read with interest the difference of opinion in the review section for this company.I have used them 3 times now (twice this year)and have nothing but praise.The price is the cheapest by atleast 9 or 10 quid and the ordering system is fantastic and very slic.Every car I ordered has been well maintained and nearly new.My only criticism is that the small print can be confusing because some car hire companies ask to return the car with a full tank ... bad experience, i was told in the uk there was no need for a deposit for this size car but when i went to pick it up he insisted on my credit card details and pay for a full tank 0f fuel 65 eurors.luckilly i did'nt have my card so he let me use it to go to hotel where i noticed it only had half a tank in it.orderded fiat given peugot which had a big bump in it and scraped all down one side also very dirty,when asked for another car i was told tough that's all we have. i have contacted carjet so we'll see what they do, probably nothing , bk auto in ibiza was the company in santa eualia

...airport. I was tempted by the CarJet site by the price and the fact that they seemed to be renting cars by make not Class. When travelling with 3 adults and 2 very young children, with plenty of luggage and golf clubs this is important. My carefully chosen Renault Scenic turned into a Ford Focus CMax, which had 15000kms on it, look tired and would barely fit our luggage. ...suppliers. This year I used carjet as they were easy and £590 against £650 for holidayautos. Thats for an suv for 16 days. Got to Utah and alamo (who I have rented from directly with no bother on a number of occations) to find that the booking I had made (Oct' 17th) had been passed to them by carjet and then cancelled again on the 1st November!! We have used Carjet three times now and have always been pleased with their service. Each time we have had a very nice car on arrival and check in time reasonable. The only downside is the website of Carjet, a little bit confusing, seems ages to get around. Would recommend Carjet.

Disadvantages: Horrendous customer service

Everything fine with actually getting the car, using the car. However when we took the car back to Alicante airport, they had a look round and said that we owed them three hundred and twenty four euros because of damage to one side of the car. We refused to pay it because it was like that when we picked it up and having only used the car a few times during our 10 day stay, there was absolutely no way we were giving them money for something we hadn't ...
