CarJet's web based car hire system is the best way to hire a car in spain. Just book online (you can pay on arrival if you want) and drop into the office at your destination airport. It's as simple as that. I must admit I was impressed with the clear no nonsense web site which gave prices with no hidden extras. I have used Car Jet.com twice now. The first time we hired a car from them and picked it up from Malaga airport. We had booked a Ford Focus and that is exactly what we got. My mum and dad asked me to book them a car and when they got to the same airport a day later, they didn't get the car they had originally chosen. We have used the CarJet hire car service many times from both Alicante and Murcia airports when we go to our little place in the sun. CarJet is in the business of providing one of the cheapest car hire options. Their website is great and we have never had any difficulies re payment and the many bookings, but beware of the optional extras and how they sucker you and me when you arrive at Alicante or Murcia. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I used them for a car rental in Spain and had a really bad experience. I had a tyre blow out fifteen minutes into my journey. There was no spare tyre on the vehicle, just a 'glue repair kit' which not surprisingly didnt work. I had to wait 4 1/2 hours with my family by the roadside for assistance (tow truck). I've had just the one experience of Car Jet and it will be my last. Having spent ages navigating around their 'clunky' web-site I eventually found the car that I wanted at a reasonable price. I confirmed the booking, gave all the necessary details and awaited my confirmation. I read with interest the difference of opinion in the review section for this company.I have used them 3 times now (twice this year)and have nothing but praise.The price is the cheapest by atleast 9 or 10 quid and the ordering system is fantastic and very slic.Every car I ordered has been well maintained and nearly new.My only criticism is that the small print can be confusing because some car hire companies ask to return the car with a full tank ...

When travelling with 3 adults and 2 very young children, with plenty of luggage and golf clubs this is important. Got to Utah and alamo (who I have rented from directly with no bother on a number of occations) to find that the booking I had made (Oct' 17th) had been passed to them by carjet and then cancelled again on the 1st November!! I would add that Carjet charged my credit card on 17th October for the full sum. Alamo had cars instock ...
...to the UK, I emailed Carjet and they came back and said it must have been Alamo themselves who decided they did not want the booking. I had seen the cancellation from Carjet to Alamo on the latters system. No offer of money or explaination. The promise of getting back to me with full details never came to anything.
