Advantages: Interesting sculptures and a wide variety of things to see but not do. Disadvantages: Too many restaurants and parking could potentially be a problem.
Every time I visit this place, normally once or twice a year, some new building pops up. Its fair to say that this place is under development but wow, when its finished won’t it look good. It’s all set on the waterfront by some now disused docks. There are several startling features of this development that are worthy of a mention. One is the oval basin with its amphitheatrish looking shape that covers a vast area of slatted timber boards (women ... ...tube like building housing information on what the Bay’s going to look like (you’ve never seen a building like this before) and finally there’s the very tall smooth faced mirror like obelisk-ish metal structure that has water rippling and clinging down its surfaces (worth an oh and an ah). There’s a full Martine based sculpture dotted around the place to perk people’s interest up but why, oh why did they have to allow so many restaurants and shops ...
