Advantages: Great Central Location Disadvantages: Standards have dropped
...the town centre, The Hotel Carlton International is amongst the best located Hotels in Sorrento. For that alone it is worth considering as some holiday makers book thinking they are going to Sorrento, only to discover Sorrento is a five mile bus ride away. From this Hotel, it is no more that a couple of hundred yards to the Piazza Tasso, the main Square in Sorrento.
We have stayed at this Hotel four times in recent years and on the whole enjoyed ... ...drop in statndards. The food was certainly no where near as good as previous visits, and satff were not as attentive and did not appear as happy in their work as they had previously.
Since our last visit, I have read that several members of the Hotel Staff have left to work at other Hotels.
The Hotel Rooms themselves are clean and well equipped. Do bear in mind though that if you are considering staying here, the rooms at the front of the hotel ...
