...were recommended to try the Cave Castle - we were very pleased that we did. We got a good deal at £110 per night for DB&B. Finding the hotel was easy and the approach via South Cave gives a very attractive view of the hotel up on the hill. Plenty of on-site parking.
Greeting at reception was very friendly and efficient and we walked through the typically complicated coridoors of an old building to our room, which was on the first floor in a new ... ...the original buidling. Our room was clean and spacious, with relatively new decor. Flat screen TV with a range of channels including Sky Sports news. Bathroom was a little tired, and we had a particular problem with both the bath and shower taps which were very difficult to turn on, and then very difficult to turn off, without leaving a constant trickle of water running.
