Advantages: Great family holiday, perfect for kids, lovely natural setting, plenty to do Disadvantages: Lodges can be shabby, you will wear yourself out with all the activity!
Center Parcs is a resort type holiday where the aim is to enjoy a family holiday in natural surroundings. Accommodation is in self catering units, although there are plenty of restaurants available. The holiday can be as relaxing or as active as each individual chooses. There are plenty of optional activities available for those that want to keep busy or expand their horizons. The basic cost of the holiday includes accommodation and you then pay for ...

...diamond for my review on Center Parcs the Oasis Whinfell Forest back in September so I decided that when I went back last week that I would write up a review of my next visit…. Sherwood Forest.
Last time I just went for the weekend which was the Friday to the Monday as cars are only permitted on both of these days. Advertised in Oasis was a Welcome Back Discount for up to 25% if you booked another trip within 28 days of returning. My boyfriend ...

To be fair, several of my friends and my bar staff have all travelled to the same destination and assured me that, once settled in, I could be anywhere in the world and would forget totally that I was just twenty minutes away from home.
Certainly, Center Parcs Elveden - like all Center Parcs establishments - is ...

...a 5 day break at Center Parcs Oasis Whinfell Forest in the Lake District. Until recently, when Center Parcs took over, the resort was known simply as Oasis and was run by an entirely different company. It's a place I've been visiting for the last 3 years, so I was interested to see how it might have changed under its new owners.
About Center Parcs Oasis Whinfell Forest:
CPOWF is set in 400 acres of pine forest on the edge of the lake district. ...

Advantages: Huge range of activities, good for families, excellent facilities for small children. Disadvantages: Mediocre service especially in pool bar, mediocre level of cleanliness.
Center Parcs is regarded by most customers as one of the best family holiday places around, and certainly one of the more original (although it has been around in the UK for 20 years now, and was in Holland for many years before that)! The key element of the holiday village is that it is good for most ages and most types of people; the break can be as active or as peaceful as you like.
There are three Center Parcs in the UK, at Sherwood in Nottinghamshire, ...

Last summer I enjoyed a weekend break at CenterParcs in Elveden Forest. This was a birthday suprise for my friend and I, (we share the same birthday), and our husbands' booked it as a present (the kids stayed at home!)
CenterParcs is somewhere I have often thought about but never booked because of the price, it is quite expensive (it cost the boys £500.00), and I'm one of those people who would rather go abroad for the same money. Having said ...

I recently visited the Centre Parcs in Longleat...this is what it was like:
The Area:
Set in the heart of Longleat forest, you really can't complain about the scenery surrounding the chalets and leisure buildings. It's absolutly gorgeous. You feel so far away from bustling cities! I visited in mid-September when all the leaves were all still quite nice and green. Very pleasant indeed.
The Accomodation:
This was nice. You can get different ...

Mmmmmm... Center Parcs - Why did it take me so long to discover this most excellent of adventures?
A family of friends, and my own family decided recently to share a holiday. Having experienced this before in a less-than-successful light (Caravaning in France) I was quite reluctant. None the less, I was persuaded by the reasonable prices (Only off-peak is reasonable!) and the suggestion of separate a Villa for each family.

Center Parcs is made up of four woodland destinations. There is Longleat Forest, Elveden Forest, Sherwood Forest and Oasis Whinfell. When I say forest, I mean forest. It’s like having a holiday theme park in the middle of a giant secluded wood. The surroundings are just stunning. As I understand it Elveden has had a massive refurbishment after there was a fire there a few years ago and the Center Parcs company has only recently taken over Oasis ...

When my friend, Sam, suggested back in June about going to Centre Parcs, but I was a bit reluctant. I had heard it was a beautiful place, but expensive. So we decided that 3 couples would share a 4 bedroomed lodge, all of us having children. The cost of the lodge from Monday to Friday was £306, which worked out to just £102 per couple. We made a "kitty" and each put in £5 a week, so we wouldnt miss the money so much. We also made a shopping list of ...
