Advantages: Great if you like back to nature Disadvantages: Really expensive
I recently went on a family holiday to Centre Parcs and have to say I was disappointed, I feel that the advertising is misleading. On adverts you see people horse riding and riding bikes etc what they don’t tell is that this is not included in the price you pay and every activity you do apart from the swimming pool costs extra. Getting around: The setting for Centre Parcs is beautiful and I have to say it gave a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. ... ...you to drive around the place, you can drive you car to unload and load at the start and end of your holiday and then for the rest of your holiday your car must stay in the main car park. This is a good idea but if you are elderly or have very young children I would suggest paying extra to have a chalet close to the main area. A small train is available to get around the park but it does not cover all areas and most of it is up hill. Accommodation ...

...main recreational area of the Center Parcs holiday villages, they are the Subtropical Paradises. These can be best described as very big large dome structures, which can be seen from afar. They are paradise inside, they are heated to a constant temperature of about 25 to 30 degrees Celsius. These large domes have palm trees, cobble stone paths, rope bridges, exotic café’s, you really do think that you are in paradise. But that’s just ... ...ANY BAD POINTS TO THE CENTER PARCS COMPLEXES?** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With the cost of the initial fee, the food costs and the sports costs it can leave you rather empty handed at the end of it especially when the give use such access to on site cash machines. The Sherwood forest Center Parc near Edwinstow has all the great facilities it always had and even a few brand new ones HOWEVER,

...recently took a visit to Center Parcs Longleat Forest for the second time in two years and was just as impressed this time round as the time before. The first thing you'll notice when going to any center parcs resort is that the people who go there are generally more upper middle class. There are very few people from lower classes like you may find at a typical hoseasons or butlins holiday, probably because it is generally more expensive.

The first big mistake we made, was not booking activities in advance. As a result we found that upon arrival the activities we intended to do we’re mostly fully booked all week, in particular: horse-riding, sports tournaments and fitness classes such as Tai Chi. ...

As a child i visited Centre parcs at Sherwood Forest in NOttingham 3 times with my familly and loved it. In July this year it was my fiance and my 3rd anniversary so i decided to book a mid-week break at Centre Parcs (Sherwood forest agin) to celebrate and spend some time together. It wasnt cheap, £539 for 4 nights (mon to fri), although that was in a luxury vip apartment so it could be done cheaper.

We dumped our stuff and went to hire our bikes (these are almost compulory at centre parcs as anyone who's been before will know and great fun). On first impressions, ...

I have recently returned from my third visit to centre parcs since the birth of my baby just over 12 months ago and once again it has been a most enjoyable experience.
On each occaision it was Oasis Whinfell Forest that we visited near Penrith in the Lake District. It is currently undergoing major refurbishment but this did not distract from our enjoyment in any way.

...spent my first weekend at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest about 3 weeks ago. I will admit that I was sceptical about going as I had heard that it was quite expensive when you got there.
My family went with some friends, a family of 4, which gave us a group of 4 adults with 3 children ranging from 2 to 7.

Having never been to Centerparcs before I was unsure what to expect. I booked up for a family holiday to Centerparcs in Longleat and we had a brilliant time. On arrival at our destination, we had a short queue to get our room keys and information (think we arrived at the busiest time of day!). Advantages: Only holiday village in North, excellent free pool Disadvantages: Some activities a little pricy
When it comes family holidays Centerparcs was always our favourite. Excellent free pool, good accommodation and plenty of other activities to keep older children more interested. ...was my second visit to Center Parcs as I'd been to Eleveden a few years ago.
The complex is cited well off the main road with about a mile long drive to the car park. You are allowed on your first day to drop your luggage off at the villa but after that you have to use bikes or walk; to get the most out of the complex, using a bike is best.
Center Parcs is mainly aimed at families, but don't be afraid to use it if you just want to relax with friends ... ...with a wide range of treatments for women and men.
