The Central Market (Pasar Seni in the local language) was a wet market in central Kuala Lumpur about 50 years ago. Now, it has a proper building and is turned into a cultural tourist attraction site. There are many cultural performances here and there are also activities such as batik painting. (Batik is a traditional Malay cloth from the northern states of Malaysia). It is a very interesting place especially ... ...in advance. The Central Market is very near Chinatown (about 10 minutes away), so you should go to these two places on the same day. How to get there:
1. Take STAR LRT to Pasar Rakyat and it is about 10 minutes' walk from the station to Central Market. You need to ask pedestrains for directions as it is too complicated to tell you here.
