Advantages: Guided Tour, Cheap, Pretty Disadvantages: Not for young children
Changdeokgung Palace is one of the better palaces along with the bigger Gyeongbokgung Palace. It's a shame that you can only see this palace by guided tour, but it's still well worth exploring. There are tours in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. The English tour takes place three times a day. I believe adults cost 3,000 won, 1.50 pounds sterling, 3 dollars. Children are half the price of an adult ticket.
Remember to wear some good walking ... ...the sake of capturing a good shot. To be honest, once you've seen one palace, they're pretty much all the same. It's probably a good idea just to pick two to see, and in my choice that would be Gyeongbokgung Palace first and then Changdeokgung Palace. ...

...Gyeongbukgung Palace in 1405. Changdeokgung Palace. The palace served as a home and resting place for previous royals. The World Cultural Heritage Committee designated Changdeokgung Palace as a World Cultural Heritage in December of 1997 in Napoli, Italy. The most beautiful time to see the garden is during the fall when the autumn foliage is at its fullest peak and the leaves start to fall.
When visiting the palace, you need to be accompanied by ... ...wander around freely. They have tours in various languages: Korean, Japanese, Chinese,English, I would highly recommend you check the time for the tours beforehand. We joined a tour which took about one and a half hours to walk around to all the major sites within the palace. It was a nice walk and the scenery was beautiful. I went there in the summer and the air was fresh with the smell of trees nearby. At the entrance, there is a souvenir shop. ...
