...to the conservation efforts of Chester Zoo, I wanted to give as much information as I possibly could on the zoo as a tourist attraction, but more importantly, on the vital work that it does. Being from Chester I can pretty much tell you how to get there by walking, buses, road and rail! **Bus** It's really easy if you get the bus. My Experience With Chester Zoo
I have been visiting Chester Zoo ever since I can remember, in Primary School it was a location for one of our school trips every single year and my mum would take me every couple of years for a day out in the holidays. When I was around 13 , i decided that animals mattered more to me than people, became vegetarian and decided that zoo's were cruel. The vegetarian phase only lasted about 6 months but I didn't visit ... ...year without fail.

Chaester Zoo is the Britain's number 1 zoo. The zoo houses 7000 animals and 400 different species. The zoo estate is actually 500 acres of which 100 acres is the zoo estate at the moment. ...had the opportunity to visit Chester Zoo twice. The first time was about 25 years ago, when I thought it was a pretty average, large zoo. I discovered, when visiting the area recently, that much has changed since those times, and I believe that it is now one of the best zoos.
They have spent a lot of money, time and effort in trying to do the best they can for their animals, and making it an interesting and enjoyable day out for those who like to ... ...scheme.

I have been to Chester Zoo a number of times, but I always get a tinge of excitement when someone mentions a visit. We decided we would take our little boy for his first birthday (7th June 2007). He was at the age where he had started to recognise animals so we thought it would be good for him – well that’s the official reason. This is where Chester Zoo's bats live. I was a little apprehensive about this as I am not a big fan of things flying round my head. They didn’t disappoint and some of them were massive. The prices to get in the zoo are Adult £12.00, Children £9.50, Family Ticket (2 adults + 2 children) £39.50, Senior Citizen £9.50, Disabled £9.50. Under 3's go FREE. You can also arrange big parties of 15 or more and you get a discounted rate price.
The park is open from 10am but it does depend on what months you go, but the ... ...great fun. With Chester zoo they have what they call a 'Rainbuster' Route which if it was to rain, most of this is under shelter so you don't get wet, but for them emergencies you can buy those very embarrassing rain mac ponchos If you wanted to you can adopt an animal, prices start from £40 Eating and Drinking - They have various places to eat.

...the opportunity to go to Chester Zoo and what a great day out we had. I haven't been to the zoo in years but my best friend moved up here a few years a ago and has a season ticket so she suggested going and I though it was a great idea.
Funnily enough Chester zoo is located in Chester in the north west of England. Chester is not a very big place and the zoo is located fairly near the centre of town so it is very easy to find and very well sign posted.
... ...which allows you to visit Chester and a range of other zoos across England free of charge for a year. Another friend found out that it was actually cheaper to join Chester Zoo than her local zoo so that's what she has done and now goes to her local one. To finish I though I would just mention that you can hold your wedding at Chester Zoo. My friend looked into this last year. ...zoo's over the years but Chester zoo was one zoo which I hadn't been to so when we went on holiday to Wales I knew we had to visit. It was about an hours drive away from where we were staying in Wales, there was plenty of sign posts to it so was quite easy to find. We arrived at the zoo at 11am, I would suggest you arrive at the opening time (10am I think) as there is so much to see, the day simply isn't long enough even though it closed at 6pm. ... ...sell bookmarks etc which say chester zoo on them. They have them penny machines around the zoo too where you put a penny in and it flattens it and prints whichever picture you want on it, this costs £1 and then you need a penny so make sure you take some shiny 1ps with you. ...lad i'd never been to Chester Zoo before, however since moving to the midlands this became one of my nearest zoo's and on an early summer day myself and my girlfriend (who had been before) decided to go and pay the zoo a visit.
Finding our way from Leeds to Chester was relatively easy, with the help of an AA route planner we found our way, however after a certain point we didn't need the directions as it was very well signposted which made it very ... ...visit best to check the chester zoo website for prices. Off Peak adults is £10.50, kids £7.50 and concessions £9.50.we went during peak time though so prices were Adults £14.95, kids £10.95 and concessions £13.50. so the wonder of an nus card got us in for £13.50.
