...recommended to stay at Hotel Cicerone . Hotel Cicerone is a 4* hotel with 292 rooms located a 5 minute walk from Lepanto metro station, on via Cicerone. We had flown into Rome Ciampino airport, taken a bus transfer to Termini station and then the metro to Lepanto; it was a really easy journey. July 2008. Went to Rome for the wifes 40th. First time for both of us. Concerned at getting a decent hotel in a safe area, Hotel Cicerone did not disappoint. Good value, excellent service, splendid quiet location. Staff very helpful regarding arranging tours. They let us check in early and were'nt too fussed about us checking out by 10.00am. Hotel facilities were all good. We went on the open top bus first to get acquainted with the city. The following day we did an all day tour with VasTours. Superb!.Once we knew our way around we strolled everywhere and didn't use public transport or taxis once. Thank you, Cicerone Steve & Debby - UK
