Advantages: Modern and attractive. Disadvantages: None!
Clayton Square is definitely the place to go if you are taking a shop around Liverpool city centre, or are just browsing. Two main shops stand out to me in Clayton Square - JD Sports and Virgin Megastore. I quite regularly purchas eitems from both of these stores, whether it is a t-shirt or a CD, these two places are the best for me. Also the mobile phone market style thing at the bottom of the escalators is a treat, I have made many a purchase there. ...

Advantages: good shops, airy, bright, tasteful, excellent location Disadvantages: I only wish it was bigger!
I love Clayton Square. First of all, it provides a wonderful shortcut. You can come in straight out of Central station and go out of the appropriate exit, depending on where you want to go. But, more seriously, it is a small centre, with probably no more than about 20 or 30 shops - but amongst these it has some big names, such as Principles, Virgin Megastore and Internaçionale. It also houses lots of specialist and designer shops. Upstairs in the ... ...unit) art gallery/shop, and an "outdoor" café, Le Boulevard. The centre has the most wonderful glass roof, which gives the place an airy feeling and as much light as you could wish for. in the summer, the sun shines through and it's wonderful; at Christmas, the decorations in there are fabulous. This is my favourite shopping centre in the city. It's a credit to the city and we could do with more like it! ...

Advantages: cookie jar with its expensive, but lovely cookie things Disadvantages: many shops overly expensive, stupid phone shop clogs up the area by the escalator
...i will frequently cut through clayton sqaure on my visits to musiczone (best shop in the city). the "square" itself is a rather dull and unispired collection of shops, however it does house the delightful "cookie jar". also present is the virgin megastore, which i am not a great fan of as it overcharges pathetically (£19 for "melloncollie and the infinite sadness" by the smashing pumpkins!! i got it in a hmv sale for £10, and even now its only £14 ... ...to virgin IMHO. also in clayton sqaure is a stupid mobile phone shop type thingy. because i despise those things, i enjoy feeling superior to the foolish minions spending ridiculous amounts of money on having a red phone cover instead of a blue one. ha ha. overall, clayton square is the best short cut youll ever use. the shops in it may provide a minor diversion, but i tend to walk through them. ...
