Advantages Advantages Good show, easy to get to & quite entertaining

Advantages Advantages see celebs and free gifts!

Disadvantages Disadvantages its only on for 5 days a year!

I am in yr 9 and I am taking Textiles for my GCSEs and one day out of the blue our technology teacher said ' we have 10 spaces on the coach to go to the clothes show live in Birmingham NEC on Tuesday 7th of December, do you want to go?' I wasn't quite sure but I gave it a go!! I paid £26.50 for the day and bus fares there and back. Which I didn’t think was too bad! We left school at 9:15 am and got there around 12:00 after stopping for a refreshment break half way there! With aching legs we walked down to the massive NEC. We were told we would meet at 2:00pm to go to the catwalk. I and my 5 ... more

The Clothes show live NEC Birmingham I am in Year nine at my school and hoping to take textiles for my GCSEs. The year 10’s and11s were going on a trip to go to the Birmingham Clothes show live but there were spaces left for year nines interested in textiles and fashion, and my friends and me were invited to go. I wasn’t quite sure whether I wanted to go or not but I decided to go because all my friends were going. We had to pay £26:50 for the bus fare there and back and for the actual event. We arrived there at about 12:00 and were allowed to walk off with at least one friend but meet up ... more

Advantages Advantages Good fun for a girly day out with some good deals

Disadvantages Disadvantages A very expensive day out and be certain you are really getting a good deal

Just been to the 2010 show this Friday with my daughter who's 13. Quiet - think people got put off by the snow as last year it was packed. Clothes and fashions seemed to be a real mish mash of stuff, most of which didn't really appeal to me, or my daughter although there were huge queues at Superdry and Juicy. The pink zone was good, lots of beauty products and some really good deals especially for younger teens: the Sugar goody bags were good, and the So...? goody bags were amazing value with a huge selection. GHD's had a great offer on too. Other stuff was poor value though, and some quite ... more

Advantages Advantages great discounts, fashion show, fun day out, value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages queues, prices of food

I started attending the Clothes show at the NEC in 2007 and have been every year since! It's girl who's into their fashion and clothes DREAM day out, there's clothes, fashion, shoes, and make up not to mention the HOT male models in the actual fashion show. It truly is value for money, with many of the brands and designers you find on the high street doing offers and cheaper prices so it really is value for money! Tickets start at £25.00 depending on where you want to sit during the fashion show which is not bad at all! If you go VIP you're right near the front (closer to the models :) and you ... more

Advantages Advantages Plenty of makeup, fashion and goodie bags!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not enough shoes or "normal" stuff

I visted the Clothes Show exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham yesterday. I have to say I was rather dissapointed. I have been previously (2004) and it was absolutely brilliant. This year however the standards of stalls was appauling! The fashion show (10:00 show) was brilliant. Lots of scantally clad men and women "dancers" as they were called and plenty to keep you entertained. If only a bit short. Caprice made an appearance showing off her underwear line which is lovely (and a bargain at the show with 2 bras for £15). The "dancers" were superb. Some doing acrobatics/break dancing and coming ... more

i went to the clothes show this year with high expectations too. i have never been before and found the whole experience rather bazzar. the standards of the stools where very simular to those in Camdem market with much of of the same stock. the mini catwalks were not to be missed, the creative talet around england is immence. and i congratulate those who put tyeir designs forward. the clothes show its self was fantastic and the dancing was awe inspiring, with a wonderful choice of music. some of the male dancers ran into the auidence and got the crowds roaring over all, i dont think that i ... more
