Advantages Advantages A GREAT night out...

Disadvantages Disadvantages ...but not very wheelchair accessible.

I can’t believe I haven’t thought to do an op on this place before; The Comedy Store, London. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone as a great night out, I go there myself quite regularly! Before I get started, I just want to thank Fee, who I recently recommended this place to, which was what actually started my train of thought in this direction! Oh yeah, and I must also tell you that you must be OVER 18 to be admitted to this club. Sorry, nothing to do with me, I didn’t make the rules! Onwards... >>>WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? ... more

Advantages Advantages fantastic value, superb venue, brilliant atmosphere

Disadvantages Disadvantages it isn't open every night

The Comedy Store London has made many an appearance on our TV screens and provided a launch pad for such stars as Lee Evans, Peter Kay and Paul Merton. Last year saw the opening of The Comedy Store in Manchester, and it's an absolutely cracking night out. I'm going to review the Manchester venue in particular, because that's the one I've visited most often, but the London one runs along exactly the same lines and all I say about Manchester applies. Shows are on at 8 p.m. from Wednesday to Saturday, with extra 11 p.m. shows on Fridays and Saturdays. I've been on a Friday, a Saturday and a ... more

Advantages Advantages The funniest night you will EVER have!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maybe they could have just the tiniest rotation in games?

The Comedy Store itself in London has been running for around 20 years and has just opened up another branch in Mnchester. However, I wish to talk about their twice weekly improv group, the Comedy Store Players. They have been running for 15 years, launching the careers of many big names, and helping out in no small way once improv comedy came to light properly. They started in the original Soho location of the Store, once a week, just a few friends having some fun and making very little money while performing to a practically empty place. Founded by Mike Myers (now better known for Wayne's ... more

    Advantages Advantages Makes you laugh

Disadvantages Disadvantages The heckling of the comedians - are cringeworthy moments

I walked away with a memory of a life time. The Comedy Store in London is at the Back of Leicester Square (as though your walking towards Piccadilly Circus direction). When you enter the building - you walk down some narrow blood red corridor with some steep stairs that takes you deep into the belly of where the show is! But on the walls- you are sure to see faces you recognise, that have performed at the Comedy Store! Once inside the belly (ie at the bottome of the stairs), you can see the stage stright infront of you centered in a fairly large room. But the stage is encompassed with rows of ... more
