Location, Location, Location Review with images

AdvantagesIdeally located for most of London

DisadvantagesLimited evening eating.

"The Corus hotel is based at Lancaster Gate, London. Rather nicely it sits opposite Hyde Park which gives you an opportunity to spend some relaxing time of a morning or evening. Checking in As I arrived at my hotel (paid for by my company) I was quite pleasantly surprised, in the Lobby the walls are covered with a beige marble; this then turns to white paintwork. My initial impression was that the location was a bit fancy for a company placement. ..." Read review

Corus Magnificus

DisadvantagesCRAMPED SPACE

"...also steered by the price. The Corus Hotel Hyde Park looked to be in an ideal location just 5 minutes walk from Lancaster Gate Tube station (100 yards)and 15 minutes away from Heathrow Airport where I had flown into perfect I thought. This hotel overlooks the infamous Hyde Park, hence the name and was only 3 stops from shoppers paradise. As you approach the hotel you firstly spot the restaurant which is located at the front, you need to walk ..." Read review

"This hotel ideally located in the centre of London and is perfect for whether you are staying the capital for business for for pleasure. The central location means that it is extremely close to all of the capitals main attractions. Very close to the westend, it is perfect if you want to go and see a show. The rooms in this hotel are high class and are ideal for anyone, particularlly if you are travelling with your family. The food here isnt that bad, ..." Read review

Top Dollar, bottom drawer

DisadvantagesValue, quality, customer service

"Top price, bottom drawer At £130, it was top price (okay it was pre-Christmas), but for a tiny double room with remnants of a leak from above (or was it streaks of nicotine from its previous smoking room days?). Only very slim people should share that room! The en-suite bathroom was tucked into the eaves and surely wasn't intended for use by anyone over 5'2" . If that was a "superior" room, I'd hate to see anything less. After a night out, ..." Read review

Very Hot

Advantagesgood location & cheap for a 4 star hotel even if it is a bit rundown

Disadvantagesvery small rooms, masively overheated, watch out for tricky pricing deals

"When I look back at my stay in the hotel that is the thing that stands out my wife and I were in an "executive twin" which was one of the relatively fiew with air conditioning this mostly offset the fact that even in July the hotel was heateded like a sauna. A colleague was in much smaller room a "twin" he had no AC and suffered greatly from the heat rvrm eoyj yjr window open the few inches it would go. When I booked the room I opted for the executive ..." Read review
