...all about my experience with Cosmos in Gran Canaria. To be honest, tour operators seem to have quite a bad reputation in general but I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised by Cosmos. Cosmos - Cosmopolitan Europe For my honeymoon my husband and I decided to do a tour of Europe. I didn't want to fly as I had a very bad experience on my GAP year after a flight and wanted to be relaxed at all times on our honeymoon. ...across a guy in a Cosmos uniform with a clipboard. I approached him looking hopeful! I was going to ask him if we were in the right place but before I had chance he asked me very curtly, "Name?" In my opinion Cosmos Reps are the most unhelpful of all holiday companies. For example:- Last year on holiday to Tenerife, we were supposed to get picked up at 5.00pm from our hotel to take us to the airport. At 4.30pm we moved our baggage to the main exit at the front of the hotel and waited it came to 5.10pm and no sign of the bus or the rep. then it came to 5.30pm there was still no sign. We phoned the emergency reps number on the Island and ...

We booked with Cosmos when we did our 4th visit to Egypt,and I have to say it was the best visit we had.Price wise there wasnt a great deal of difference to any other visit[about £580 per person]but there was much more for our money as far as tours were concerned.We like to do a week on the Nile and a week in Luxor and all packages usually include 10 guided tours whilst on the cruise,but Cosmos went that little bit extra .Anormal part of a cruise ...

Our Cosmos Rep in The Gambia was the most useless I've ever met. Introduction Meeting? He didn't hold one--bit swore to us he did--err, I was there--you were just selling a trip to group of guys! I recently travelled with cosmos to Falaraki in Rhodes and was some what disapointed. We booked for a young and lively resort and went with cosmos because of the deal they had. Due to the fact my parner is 6ft5 we were advised when booking to get to the airport early to be given seats with extra legroom. When we arived at the airport they told us we could only get them if we paid extra £15 per person each way which we could not afford to do, so ...
...On arriving in resort the transfer rep was nice and helpful. Our welcome meeting was at 1.30 but as we did not arrive until 7.30 am we did not attend this due to needing sleep after being cramped on the plane. When we met our rep he gave us the info we needed but didn't put any pressure on us. ...really, this is what a Cosmos Rep said to me - "tell your mate to shut up and sunbathe!" I booked a holiday through Cosmos to Hersonissos in Crete. 6 of us girls went (all around 22 years old) an our main holuiday destinaton was Malia but we decided to stay in Hersonissos as we thought we would get a nicer, more upgraded apartment than in the Malia strip. ...I recently returned from the Cosmos "Scenic Europe and Bernina Express" tour (number 4550). The entire trip was a disaster because of the untrained, incompetent "travel guide" supplied by Cosmos. Our guide had just been hired by Cosmos. During our tour, she never provided any information on any of the countries, cities, or buildings we visited. My cosmos holiday was the worst holiday experience I've ever had. Not only would I never use Cosmos again, I'll never go on another guided tour again. The main problem was the tour guide and the bus driver who both seemed to loath both us and their jobs. The tour guide abused us on the bus, the bus driver drove straight past us at a designated pick up point. At the end of the 'holiday' he threw our bags off the bus in the rain. Their only interest ...
...they got a kickback. I won't go on with every detail but simply wish to warn others that this was not a good expereince. The only positive thing was that their treatment of us united the group which was a diverse one, made up of Asian students, Australian exchange teachers, and older American travellers. COSMOS TOUR Just returned from a cosmos transatlantic tour 23 days of pleasure. Very positive experience we had a dedicated efficient and thoroughly good woman France Wray as a tour director who worked her socks off the whole trip. Highly recommended. ...went to Turkey with Cosmos on the 10th of July 2003. We booked the holiday 2 months before and was excellent. The price for two for a week was £189 each. We did an alocation on arrivle and the holiday was on the Bodrum penisula were we had a choice of Three resorts I wanted either Bodrum or Gumbet .
