...attractions, I spotted one called Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens and was really pleased to see that we were allowed to take the dogs with us for a day out.
History
In 1923 the Manor House and Estate (that is now the park) were purchased by Colonel Heyworth-Savage and when he died in 1948, the estate was passed to his grandson John Heyworth who is the current owner. Getting There
Cotswold Wildlife Park is situated on the A361, about 2 miles from Burford. I am not the best person with directions but I found it really easy to find and it was very well signposted too. Opening Times

Advantages: Saving Endangered Animals Disadvantages: No Local Transport
...took my children to the Cotswold Wildlife park and Gardens, I have been there on quiet a few occasions and thoroughly enjoy the experience every time.
A little bit of history about the park
It first opened in 1970 by John Heyworth, which has now been taken over by his son Reggie Heyworth.
The Manor House was built in1804.
Parts of the house are now open to visitors.
The park does not receive money from any where else but from their visitors.

The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is situated just outside Burford, Oxford, on the A361.
It is only 18 miles from Oxford and is very easy to get to from either the M40 or the M5; it is very well signed posted.
~ Transport ~
There is no local transport to and from the park, the nearest bus stop is in Burford and that is 2 miles away, I think this is the one and only big down fall that the park has, in my opinion there ...

Advantages: So much to see. Animals very well looked after. Disadvantages: Not enough time to see everything!
Have just been to the wildlife park with my ever-growing family. Haven't been for quite a while but saw a photo of a baby meerkat recently and wanted to take my children to see them. It was so much more than I had remembered! The lemur place was amazing. I have never been so close to lemurs. One of them came up to us and touched my camera. The kids loved it. So did we.
