Advantages: A great fun day out for the family Disadvantages: Older kids might get bored
...had previously been to the Cotswold Wildlife Park but not since a school trip when I was at primary school. So I knew that I'd not remember any of it so it would be a good day out.
The Cotswold Wildlife Park is 2 miles from Burford on the A361. It is easy to find and there are plenty of brown signposts pointing you in the right direction. Those coming further afield than me would need to know it is off the A40 half way between Oxford and Cheltenham. ... ...kiosk. When we arrived there was a bit of a queue but at least you're sat down! Once you have paid you can then park. We were lucky, as we got there not long after it had opened and we managed to park in the tarmac car park. They have an overflow car park, which is grass, but there weren't many cars there throughout the day. I'd imagine that during the summer and at half term this wouldn't be the case. We went at the beginning of June and had just ...

...with a few exceptions. The Cotswold wildlife park is 160 acres of parkland where many of the animals roam in spacious areas. I have taken my 2 children to this park on several occasions and we have always really enjoyed our visit. I hope this review will be useful to anyone planning a visit.

********
The Cotswold wildlife park is situated in the heart of the Cotswolds and surrounded by beautiful countryside. On arrival the first thing you notice is how easy it is to park and get into the park. There is ample disabled parking at the front of the car park. It is possible to picnic on the field that forms part of the car park if you don't want to carry picnic food with you.
Admission costs are quite high at £8.50 per adult and ...

...COTSWOLD WILDLIFE PARK
We bundled the three boys into the car, plus a large cool box full of drinks, rolls, fruit, crisps, salad, cakes, pork pies, chicken legs, and not forgetting the CHOCOLATE! And off we set, now Cotswold Wildlife Park is actually in Burford, Oxfordshire, just on the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire border in the beautiful Cotswolds. 17 miles North East of Swindon.

Advantages: animals, animals, animals! Disadvantages: Lots of walking involved for little ones.
...captivity. I have visted the Cotswold Wildlife park at least ten times and the conditions always seem to be first class; the animals have plenty of space, clean bedding, a variety of food and seem to be active and in good health. The animals range from the huge giraffes to fascinating tiny creatures like ants. While most of the animals are outside there are enough indoor activites to make the place worth a visit when the weather is dodgy, including ... ...bat exhibition; a two storey display of fruit bats. You can watch them fly, feed or just hang about. The park as several 'non-animal' attractions including a workshop where you can watch a glass blower at work and buy the animals he makes. There is also a brass rubbing centre (which costs extra), a good cafe, an adventure playground and train ride (costs extra). The best time to visit, as long as you wrap up warm, is on a bright, crisp winter's day ...
