B&B ? More Like D&D (Dull & Dinghy)

Advantages: Good Location
Disadvantages: Poor Decor and Customer Service

...name of the hotel "The Danebury Hotel". The hotel belongs to the chain Old English Inns, whereby you can book on-line, but I decided to call the hotel directly, which was trouble free, seeming very helpful and accommodating, even when I only booked 3 weeks before we were to leave. We drove and took 2 cars as their were 5 of us travelling and what with luggage etc, made it more of a comfortable drive. We travelled along the M4, becoming off at ...

So far, so good, until we got about a mile before the hotel, here we lost each other, due to the bizarre one way system which we found very complex. We exchanged mobile conversations and decided to meet there. We did find the hotel on the one-way system, and we must have driven past numerous occasions looking for the hotel's car park ! It didn't help as it was the night that they were turning ...

Danebury Hotel

Advantages: Close to Thruxton Circuit
Disadvantages: Very noisy, unfriendly staff, poor room

We booked this hotel as we were going to the British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton Circuit and this was the only hotel available within a 30 mile radius of the circuit (due to it being the 2007 final) We booked online for one of their special themed rooms at £75 a night including breakfast and received email confirmation, only to receive a phone call from the hotel the next day saying that the themed rooms are fully booked and the online booking ...
...offer us a twin room for a reduced rate of £52 for the inconvenience, since we had had no other options we agreed to do this. They did state when we booked that the hotel is also a nightclub, which i must say kept us awake until 3am as we had a room overlooking the main entrance to the hotel where all the party revellers gathered making as much noise as possible all evening. The hotel itself is based on a one way system and we had to drive around ...
