Danubius Hotel Gellert, Budapest

A nothing-but-beautiful building from the outside and in. The Gellert Hotel is as grand as hotels (I've stayed in) come. But then I admit, my usual retreat is in a youth hostel or campsite, I was fortunate enough one year to stay in the Hotel Gellert for a weekend as a Birthday present. As you enter the hotel the foyer is as grand as you would imagine and pleasantly filled (in the evening) with the echoing sound of the resident harp to entertain the guests and visitors having a drink in the foyer bar.
