Advantages: A lovely peaceful setting within a ten minute drive of Blackpool town centre.
Disadvantages: No dedicated childrens activities

...and to stay at the De Vere Heron's Reach Hotel We checked out various deals for a three night stay at this hotel and finally decided upon a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package in standard twin rooms. Advantages: Fantastic leisure facilities, friendly staff and good customer service.
Disadvantages: Very pricey, lots of business men and not enough air conditioning.

The De Verre Herons Reach is a hotel that stands situated opposite Stanley Park in Blackpool. Part of the De Vere Group of hotels it is set in 236 acres of the Flyde coast countryside. We, a group of about 50 people, stayed for the weekend. For the name droppers Chubbie Brown was staying at the hotel at the same time, at least he was in the Bar The High Light to wake up Sunday morning to hear a noise, then to realise it was the roar of lions from the zoo next door.
