Disadvantages: Always busy and crowded

We have stayed at Oulton Hall twice in the last few months and it is a good hotel. Not quite 5*, but nevertheless good value for money. We paid £90 B&B per room on one occasion and £115 B&B on the other - booked online. The hotel has an imposing frontage, and is surrounded by parkland - the views and the setting are good and in the summer months it will be very pleasant indeed. Disadvantages: got a lot less than expected from a 5 * hotel

took 3 phone calls before they actually reserved the interconnecting rooms I asked for. Rooms were supposed to be available by 3.00pm. At 4.30pm we were still waiting for the childrens rooms to be cleaned. The cover on the tv standby switch was missing, showing the circuit board. Great for little fingers.
