Advantages: Small, easy to find what you require. Disadvantages: Not user friendly !
...go and meet her at Dinard Airport, which I would like to review, because in many ways, it fulfills people's basic needs as a small airport, and in other ways it fails miserably.
AIRPORT LOCATION
The airport is well signposted and getting there was easy. This is a small airport on the outskirts of Dinard, in Brittany, and map references were good and road signs started early in the voyage, making the journey simple.
ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
The ... ...in a circle before being able to locate the entry to the car park, where you have a barrier and have to take a time ticket. So far, so good.
Locating the terminal from the car park is simple as it is within easy walking distance.
INSIDE THE TERMINAL
Inside the terminal was sparce at best, and one thing that amazed me was that even a small international airport like this, albeit for flights inside Europe, was that there was no cash machine !

Advantages: Good for flying direct into Brittany Disadvantages: Not many facilities
As far as I know, the only way to get to this airport from the UK is to fly with Ryanair from London Stansted (STN) airport. I did so because it was extremely cheap (only £1.50 each way plus tax) and because I was visiting Brittany itself and so could fly close to where I was going to be based.
The airport is extremely small. I would guess that the main building itself is smaller than your average Woolworths. The plane lands, you get off and wait ... ...the collection area (no, I'm not joking). There it gets put on a conveyor belt, but be quick to catch your case or else it will just drop off the end.
The terminal building has very limited facilities; a couple of toilets, a small handful of check-in desks, some tourist information, and a few car rental companies. Refreshments are limited to a couple of vending machines, so bring your own snacks.

t's near the sea, and it's modern city compared to other cities in Britany. By the sea, there is a Casino to for visitors and local people, however, there are not many games, tables are not opened before 9pm. The food in Dinard is as great as in other cities of Brittany, espcially the 'Moules a la mariniere', mussels with sauce that ...

I thought it was a lovely little town right on the Brittany coast. We were staying at a fabulous house called Maison du Port, (www.maisonduport.co.uk ) just along the coast. We flew into Dinard airport and hired a car and were 'on holiday' within 25 mins. Brilliant! ...
