Disney's MGM studios were officially opened in 1989, and spans approximately 135 acres in size. It has become one of the main tourist attractions Disney has to offer, attracting millions of people all year round. For instance purchasing a 7 day pass would set you back $219 for ages 10 and over and $182 for under 10's. Advantages: Fun, less busy than other disney parks. Disadvantages: Poor food at Pizza Planet

...which is part of Walt Disney World. However it is worth noting that as from the 1st of January this year (2008), the studios changed their name to Hollywood studios. Anyway I thought I would share my views on this park as it really is excellent and a great place for all the family to go.

Just a quick note on this but most UK customers will pre purchase their tickets to all the parks before going to Florida and this really is the ... ...you access to all the Disney themed parks which include the Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon as well as giving free entry to some of the clubs in Downtown Disney. Not bad at all but if you are just planning on paying when you get there that is possible and you'd be looking at a cost of about £40 per adult for just one day and just the Hollywood Studios so you can really see ...

...all the Parks at Walt Disney World MGM Studios rates very high on my list, infact it could be my favourite.
As with most of the parks one day is just not enough, I found that we spent 1 full day and an afternoon at MGM and it was ideal as we got to see and do everything that we wanted to.
*******Top Tip*************
My biggest tip is to pre-purchase your tickets before you arrive for places like Keith Prowse Tickets as you get a few freebies thrown ... ...We opted for the Disney 14 Day Ultimate Ticket which provided us with entry into all of the Disney Parks for the full 14 days, the ticket cost just £115.
Our coach transfer was at 8am so we arrived just as the park was opening. ******Top Tip********
Unless you know your way around the park then the best thing to do is grab a map beforehand and decided what you really want to do, the rides are always quieter first thing in the morning so if rides ...

Advantages: This one has a proper rollercoaster woohoo Disadvantages: Queues - but to be expected
...hotel ran shuttle buses to Disney as it would be quite confusing to get to driving yourself, although it doesn't take long, about 10 minutes from International Drive. I cannot really comment on the prices as I purchased my tickets online before I left home, but I can recommend the place where I got them:

It cost £163 for the Disney 14 Day Ultimate Ticket which gives unlimited access to:

...the best park at Walt Disney World. That may be because i am a complete film fan, or it may be because it contains some of the best rides, shows and restaurants in the Walt Disney World Resort. There are two rides you cannot miss whilst you are visiting MGM. The first is the Hollywood Tower of Terror. In this, you embark upon an out of control lift and plummet 13 storeys, again and again and again. If it looks too scary for you, ask yourself this; ... ...The other unmissable ride at MGM is the Rock n Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith. On this, you accelerate at 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds, do 3 inversions and experience one of the best rollercoasters in Orlando. And just to top it off, the entire ride is done along with some of the best Aerosmith songs. What isn't there to enjoy?

Disney MGM is a place of stunts, thrill rides and more Disney magic. MGM studios is mainly shows icluding car stunts and indiana jones but the few rides that are in the park are amazing Tower of terror- drop 13 stories in the dark
Rockin rollocoasta- twist, turn and loop on a ride in the dark.
Startours- fly on a spaceship with R2D2 and C3PO
The shows are excellent too...
Car stunts- a must see, cars jumping crashing through and at each other ... ...they fight against the evil disney charactors.
Indiana jones- see three scenes from across the trillogy performed live in an epic show.
When going to MGM use the most of the free fast track tickets. Place your ticket into a booth next to a attraction or ride. The Park isnt that big but offers lot of things to do with music and adventure as well as good food. Disney MGM is not just a theme park it is a working studio as you will see.
STAR TOURS - The ride is based on star wars the film queing can get bad during the day so its is better either go first thing or the very last ride of the day. The ride is a simulator you ill wait in your ... ...like us we went back to epcot after disney MGM and had something to eat there as there is more on offer.
I would go back but go her first as this is one of the smaller parks to go to . ...
