Stay in the heart of the magic

Advantages: location, and great theming
Disadvantages: costly

There are obviously hundreds of hotels and resorts in the Orlando area catering for the huge number of tourists that arrive daily. However for me staying “on-site” at one of the Walt Disney properties makes the visit even more special. There are approximately 16 Disney hotels, which are spread around the 47 square miles that make up Walt Disney World. They are divided into 3 groups, deluxe, moderate and value -obviously the deluxe being ...
...Beach Resort, which falls into the moderate category. The Caribbean beach resort (CBR fir short) has 2,112 rooms in 33 colorful 2-storey buildings on the shores of a lake. The buildings are grouped in 6 villages: Barbados, Martinique, Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad North, and Trinidad South. Each village has 6 buildings, its own pool, white sand beach with hammocks and playground, laundry facilities, bus stop, and parking area. The centerpiece of CBR ...

Disney Magic?

Advantages: Right in the heart of the action
Disadvantages: Expensive compared to other hotels which are just as close to parks

Well I might upset the apple cart here but from someone who has just had their first trip to Disney Orlando I was disappointed! Our family of four, two adults and children aged 9 and 7 spent the first 5 nights of our holiday at this hotel to appreciate the Disney magic. Yes the hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff are amazingly friendly but we did not feel the magic. We felt we could have been staying anywhere. We had one Mickey Mouse soap ...
...we had to beg housekeeping for more shampoo, soap and paper cups as they were just not replenished! The room was very nicely presented but i was not keen on the curtain separating the bedroom and bathroom area it was tacky! Bathroom is very small and you need to be short to fit in that bath! Although we had a hire car we did use the bus service to the parks. However we quickly reverted to the car as we were often hanging around for the buses ans ...

Be part of the magic!

Advantages: Makes you feel part of the magic! Great guest perks
Disadvantages: Quite expensive

Disney's Caribbean Beach resort is one of many Disney hotels and is classed as a 4star and in the medium price category. We went on a fly drive holiday with a medium sized family car and for 14 nights and for two of us it cost £2700. This is my second stay at the resort, my first being some years ago when I was 14 with my parents. It is set out in six villages Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad North, Trinidad South and Aruba. They are arranged ...
...small island (Parrot Cay). On Parrot Cay there is an adventure playground for kids and lots of birds and small wildlife. The island is connected by walkways to the mainland on both sides (great if you are on one side and don't want to walk all the way round to get to the other). In each small village there are several blocks of accommodation (all two storey), a pool, a laundry room, vending and ice machines and a bus stop (more of that later). There ...

disney carribean beach

Advantages: great family resort
Disadvantages: its big

Having gone to orlando with my wife in 2000 for the celebrations, we decided to return in 2004 with our daughter so she could experience the magic aswell. We went with virgin and the cost was about £3200 for 14 nights and free car hire but we chose not to as it has a great bus service which picks up from each village and will take you to all disney parks. This was the second time now at the carribean beach resort, to which i must say it was still ...
...six villages Jamaica,Trinidad (south , north) Barbados,Martinique and aruba all set around a huge lake. So if you dont like walking you may want to choose another hotel. There are bridges which link to a island which does shorten the walk and is nice because the way it is set out and the wildlife to.All the rooms are spacious and decorated well, but bathroom alittle small. Beds are are of a good size and there lots of storage for your clothes and ...

Perfect for doing Disney

Advantages: Perfect for a Disney stay
Disadvantages: None

...stayed two years before at Disney's Dixie Landings hotel. The Caribean Beach Hotel is spread out over a large sight and the rooms are in two story 'houses' with balcony's or terraces. Each room is big enough for at least four people although the bathrooms are quite small but this seems to be the case in most of the Disney Hotels. Each complex of rooms is named after a country in the Caribean and the courtesy buses drop you near to you village. ...
...a food court which is open from 6:00am which gives you time to have something to eat before boarding the bus to whichever park you are visiting that day. The variety in the food court was very good but you do tire of the plastic cutlery and cups. One good thing was that you buy a large insulated cup and for the duration of your stay you get all your drinks free. This is great with the kids. Each village has its' own swimming pool and there is a ...

Are you sure you arent at a REAL beach

Advantages: Fun place, beautiful, bus service, separate villages, eating and shopping facilities
Disadvantages: Can get too long to get around as the place is so big

Disney's Caribbean Beach Hotel is unlike any other hotel that you could have ever visited in your life. Being a Disney Hotel, it is bound to be an experience in itself and it certainly is that. The hotel contains nearly 2000 rooms. The rooms are divided up into 5 separate 'islands' which are distributed out amongst this area, which is the size of a small park in itself. Not only this, but each village contains a beach, a swimming pool, a great ...
...all 5 of the villages, and a bus service which runs for free around the hotel. Another feature of the hotel is the shopping centre where you can buy groceries, have breakfast, lunch or tea, and fill up with as many free drinks as you like, for the entirety of your stay, providing you have bought the cups which are in each room. All in all, this hotel is an amazing experience. The service is amazing and the hotel brings around a whole new genre ...

Holiday at Disney's Caribean Beach Hotel

Advantages: On the Disney complex, so near to all attractions
Disadvantages: Farly small room

We went to this hotel on our family's first ever trip to America and I have to say it was the best by far! I travelled with my husband and our 7 year old daughter. The room size was a little disapointing as I felt it was a little on the small size but it was clean, and had been recently decorated. All the staff on site were very helpful and went out of their way to make our trip pleasant and memorable. The food was a little expensive and there perhaps ...
...experience and I would certainly use the same hotel again if we could afford it. It was quiet and peaceful and catered for all ages, not just children. Room service was very good and they had a fantastic power shower which was great after a heavy day at the parks. Plenty of pools to choose from and the man made 'beach' by the lake was a delightful place to relax in when you needed a moment to reflect in peace. All in all a wonderful place to stay ...
