Magical Disney Experience

Advantages: Full of the magic of Disney
Disadvantages: Blows a hole in your wallet

...a 4-day break at the Disneyland Resort in Paris, I questioned whether now was a good time to write a review. Yes, all of the information and flavour of the place is fresh in my mind but, to be honest, I'm still so amazed by the whole experience that I will be in danger of trying to include too much in my review!! The resort is truly, truly MAGICAL, or "maaaagical" as the little girl says on the advert!! It's a place for young and old alike to be ...
...Of course, the signature, pink Disneyland Hotel straddles the magic Kingdom park entrance, so is a minute from the magic, but you pay for the privilege. One point of note, on checking in you will be given your DisneyLand Resort I.D. card, which gives you free access to the car parks and access to the pools and leisure facilities. On leaving a card imprint at Reception, it can also act as a "charge card" around the Resort, allowing you to charge many ...

Poor Man's Disney: Taking Young Children

Advantages: Enough to entertain all ages for a couple of days
Disadvantages: The prices inside the gates are shocking

GETTING STARTED Disneyland Paris, as most people will already know, is a smaller version of Florida's Disney World and is situated a short journey from Paris in the French countryside. Adult ticket prices start from £32 for a one day, one park ticket which isn't unreasonable but do be aware that you will have to be greatly inflated prices for food and drink once inside the gates. Note that until March 2008 - kids under 7 can stay and play for free; ...
...experiences you can go to Disneyland for; as a couple looking to ride the roller coasters or enjoy some magical romance, as a family wanting to spend time together, or with young children hoping to offer them a fantastical experience. Although I've been to Disney World Florida as both a family and a couple, I've only been to Disneyland Paris as a parent to a young child so that's the experience I feel qualified to talk about here. Consider this a ...

Disneyland Paris fun for all the family

Advantages: Great close alternative to US theme parks
Disadvantages: Not as 'Disney' as US counterparts, ot cheap!

Disneyland Paris opened in 1992 and was the first Disney Park in Europe. I was lucky enough to visit the park in 1992 and have returned several times since. Since you could write a whole book about Disneyland Paris I have just picked out some of my favourite bits and top tips from over the years that I have been there. The Disneyland resort hotel is divided into two theme parks (the Disneyland Park/Magic Kingdom and the New Disney Studios, which ...
...The Disneyland Paris Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, Hotel Cheyenne, and Hotel Santa Fe and the Camp Davey Crockett Campsite. The hotels cater to a range of budgets, from the Santa Fe (from £105 per adult for three nights, including park pass, accommodation, and breakfast) up to the Disneyland Paris Hotel (from £219 per adult for three nights, including park pass, accommodation, and breakfast). The closest hotel to the parks ...

A Place To Go Before Heaven!!!

Advantages: wicked experience on the rides, good weather in July
Disadvantages: Can be Very Crowded

...enough right? I went to Disneyland Last year in the summer and stayed around the park for four days or five days (if you sleep four nights it makes it five day innit?) the experience was just extraordinary except for one little thing (I’m not going to tell you the problem at the moment I’m going to hide the problem in between a paragraph so if you are really are curious about knowing the problem you might have to read the whole review my friends!!. ...
...that is there but the Disneyland one is scarier and yes I mean scary. There is also a Pocahontas Village which is designed for children (it’s an open space). There are also other rides in this area but forgot the names and can’t be bothered to look them up the net. Adventure land is an area which is for pirate fans I’d say because everything in the area is to do with ships and pirates which never comes to an end unless you get out of the area. However, ...

The magic of Disney!

Advantages: Fun, everything close together and the magic of it all!
Disadvantages: Can be get pricey

...much as I can of Disneyland as a whole along with some tips and advice that will come in especially useful for those who may be visiting for the first time! ********************* Please bear in mind that this review is pretty long but, is almost like a rough guide as I have tried to include everything that you could possibly need to know from getting there to picking hotels and the parks itself. I'm sorry if anybody thinks it is too long but ...
...What is it? Disneyland Paris is a themed resort that consists of two theme parks, 1 Disney shopping and restaurant area, 1 Sea life centre, 1 discount brand stores shopping centre and 7 Disney themed hotels. There is also then a selection of 5 'selected' hotels which are not Disney themed but still have benefits of being within a shuttle bus route and normally sold as a package including park passes. Where is it? The resort is located approximately ...

Disadvantages: can get busy at certain times in the day

...fantastic 2night,3 day visit to disneyland paris and i wanted to share our fantastic experience with you all. Firstly if you are going to visit then go between now and march 2008 as kids under 7 go free including hotel stay and the 15th anniversary parades are magical. The Euro-Dreampark that will cost you an arm, a leg and a head

Advantages: Lots to do, easy check in, Brilliant parks
Disadvantages: Cost!

Disneyland Resort Paris (previously Euro Disney) is one of the four large Disney Parks dotted around the globe (the others being Disney World, Florida and Tokyo Disneysea, Japan.) and is situated in Marne-la-Vallée, south and west of Paris, France. The park opened in 1992 amid much fanfare and has since operated its socks off, paying hostage to the Disney saga over the last decade and has become one of Europe's largest tourist spots. High demand ...
...itself has made getting to Disneyland Paris a fairly painless effort, which is good for both the park and for the families visiting there. Once you arrive to the 'entrance' of the park (I say entrance with hesitation because the actual entrance onto the theme park is an exceedingly long way from where you actually check in) you are faced with conveyer belt-type walkways that move you along with your luggage. At the end of this walkway you are given ...

DisneyLand Paris in a nutshell

Advantages: Great for Kids, Close to home
Disadvantages: Service with a frown

...--------------------- You can get to Disneyland Paris from London in three hours by train, or two hours from Ashford International, Kent. Visit the Eurostar website to plan your journey. If you want to drive over from the UK, go to the Disneyland Paris website for directions from Paris. We went on the boat from Jersey and drove down form St Malo which took 4 hours which meant we had a decent 12 hours in the park but this meant we didnt fit in the ...
...up the atmosphere ------------------------------------------- Disneyland Paris is an exciting, hectic destination and absolutely brilliant fun for the kids. We went for the Weekend, you need at least a weekend to do justice to this massive theme park. And probably longer if you plan to fit in The Walt Disney Studios Park too. To avoid disappointed tears, I would strongly suggest paying a little extra for a Fast Pass ticket, which cuts the waiting ...

Disneyland Paris

Advantages: Excellent park and great staff
Disadvantages: No shuttle bus between Davy Crockett ranch and Disneyland Park, and food

Disneyland Paris was an extrememly good holiday for me and my family. There were five of us, including one disabled and the facilties were generally very good. For my sister, who is disabled, it was relatievly easy to find suitable rides and not have to wait in the long queues for a while, unlike everyone else. This was good, as it is hard for her to stay still in enclosed spaces for too long (such as the queues), and a 'blue' card, which can be ...
...the park next to the Disneyland Hotel for disabled people. There is definitely not as much to walk, but you should make sure you get the correct code, as it changes everyday. The communication between the security did not seem too good so unfortunatley we could not use this and had to woalk further than necessary on a few occassions. If you do want to enquire about a blue card then it is advisable to take proof of diablility with you, as we were ...

Step into a fairytale full of Disney characters

Advantages: Great at Christmas time
Disadvantages: Can't think of any!

...family visit, pre Christmas, to Disneyland in Paris. This has now become one of our family traditions at this time of year, it makes the Christmases from my childhood come alive and is something we all enjoy. Remember how there were always Disney cartoons on telly at Christmas? Well, if you go to Disneyland in Paris you can step into the real Disneyworld and recapture your childhood again!!! You don't even need kids to go with you! We are a party ...
...WHERE IS IT? Disneyland is approximately 19 miles east of Paris, and is easily accessible by train or on the A4 motorway. Or you can of course, opt for an organised excursion perhaps by coach. Many tour operators offer these all year round, but they do get booked up quickly for this time of year so you will probably be too late for this Christmas. The first time we went to Disneyland we only decided to go at the last minute, and as we couldn't ...

Disneyland Paris - a survival guide

Advantages: Disney madness at it's best!
Disadvantages: Dont forget to take spare credit cards....oh and remortgage you house too

This isn't a review - more of a "Top tips survival guide" 1) During summer months make sure that you have remembered to take the sun cream with you. (sounds obvious i know, but we left ours at the hotel and rather studpidly thought we'd buy some more. At £22 for a small bottle of factor 30, my husband was sent back to the hotel, complaining bitterly, to go and get ours.) 2) Take your own bottles of coke and water. (We got a case of coke and water ...
...with us.) Then to keep it cool fill the sink with cold water and leave the bottles floating in it. 3) If #2 isn't an option - take a WIDE neck sports bottle with you (it will be easier to fill it from the plentiful water fountains if it has a wider neck) 4) Take fruit and healthy snacks with you. (Disneyland is full of greasy fried food and snacks - which is fine once in a while - but unless you want to look like an extra from Dumbo, then not great ...

Disneyland

Advantages: Just about everything! Kid friendly and unforgettable
Disadvantages: cost of food

Disneyland is situated in the countryside, about a one hour drive from Charles De Gaux airport. If driving from the airport to the resort, it can be a little tricky to find, with many winding roads and few landmarks. If travelling on the Eurostar, the shuttle actually takes you to within three minutes walking distance of the park entrance and closest hotels. The whole of Disneyland is breatakingly dreamy, a true fairytale land for all ages. Before ...
...castle, there is a long road filled with a variety of helpful little shops. As well as the expected sweet and toy shop, there is a handy little camera shop, who will copy your memory card onto a disc for about €5 if you need to free up some space. The park itself is divided into seperate themed areas, which makes it all incredibly easy to navigate. The rides at Disney are totally family orientated, and mostly suitable for small children as well as ...

DISNEYLAND PARIS.....Fantastic place for kids and adults.

Advantages: great family resort, good rides
Disadvantages: high prices

I love this place, been there twice so far. First visit was in 1999 with my parents, i stayed in the hotel cheyenne (cowboy themed hotel). The rooms were clean and tidy and there was night entertainment in the bar/restaurant, you were free to join in with some line-dancing. Second visit was in 2006 with my 6 year old, this time we stayed in Santa fe, (mexican style hotel), My daughter loved it. Would recommend people to go in autumn season, (halloween, ...
...especially coach fares, are cheaper. Most of the rides are indoors so whatever the weather you are going to enjoy yourselves. There are alot of family rides and a few you can take babies on. One problem I had there was the food and the high prices, we ended up eating in mcdonalds every day as it was cheaper, you'll need alot of spending money, i went through nearly £400 in 3 days...crazy. I would definately take the family there again. ...

Disneyland Paris

Advantages: Fun for all ages, excellent atmospere
Disadvantages: Very expensive, not alot of toilet/baby changing facilities

...recently came back from Disneyland Paris Resort. Well what can I say WOW. What a fab time was had by all the family. This was a family trip which included a range of ages from 18 months to a grand old age 60 year old. And I am pleased to say that there was something for all the ages concerned. I would say that the 2 very young ones did come a litle restless from waiting in ques. And yes some of these ques were a fair wait. Ranging from 30mins to ...
...the new Hollywood Hotel Terror ride. This is not a cheap holiday places I would advise if you are to go take more than enough cash, as things are very expensive. But never the less its is worth while going. The resturants in the parks themselves mainly consist of fast food which is alot more expensive than usual. Also if the weather is fine I would advise to take own juice or pop as these prices are quite inflated. There is however the odd waterfountain ...

A great place for the children!!!!!

Advantages: lots to do, helpful staff and characters, great accomodation and food
Disadvantages: a bit expensive

I went to Disneyland Paris last year with my husband and three children. We arrived after quite a long drive. The only real problem we faced was that the tour operator told us it was a 20 minute drive once off the ferry, but 5 hours later we finally got there. We stayed in the new lodge that had just been built and I can't remeber the name - it had a shipping theme and there were rooms that could cater for up to 10 people unlike the hotels. This ...
...letter addressed to him from Disneyland Paris. He opened it and it was a letter from Donald Duck with a photo of Donald, Mickey, Goofy etc. There were about 7 characters and they had signed the photo above their pictures. My son was delighted and I found this a great gift for him and it showed us all that the letter had been handed to Donald and he had kindly replied. A great place to visit and well worth the money. ...
