...forced to take accomodation in Ditt Tysaer Kro And Motel.
Haugesund is a small town (circ 20000) on the west coast of Norway. It is now served by Ryanair on a daily basis from Stansted.
It is simple to find and a fairly cheap (around £70/night when we were there for a double room). The rooms are fairly basic but contain anything you are likely to need for your stay. En suite with shower (no bath) and rooms have TV with plenty of channels.
I'm ... ...hotel and in fact when it came to booking I dont think we even saw a picture of the hotel or the rooms! Booking therefore is best by telephone.
The motel can provide food in the evenings although it doesn't cater well for vegetarians. One of our party requested a vegetarian meal and the waitress kindly took the meat off his plate!
The continental breakfast was nice and it was included in the price.
