    Advantages Advantages Cheap, big.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Tack

The capacity is for roughly 2000 people so you always see people you know in there, and the bonus is that it's big enough to avoid people you don't want to see! The Dome nightclub is located on Horsefair in Birmingham, about 5 minutes walk from New Street Station. It's not in the nicest part of town and you have to either walk under a scary underpass or risk your life crossing a dual carriageway to get there. There aren't really any decent bars nearby to go to first. There's a lot of dodginess that goes on outside the club, with unlicensed mini cabs, boy racers racing up the dual carriageway ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Venue, Excellent Music, Cheap Prices, and Great fun for eveyone!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes can get pretty packed out so it may seem hot sometimes!.

The Dome II Nightclub in Birmingham has to be one of the best ever clubs around!. With it's amazing size, the atmosphere generated is immaculate!. The club has 2 student nights a week Monday's and Thursdays, along with a 70's revival night held on Fridays whilst saving the best til last, a Dance Nation evening on Saturday evenings. Mondays is known as Zoo night where the DJ carries a TV camera round with him and interviews entrants going into the club. Drinks prices vary from night to night but it is known for its amazing prices of 50p a pint on Monday nights with the "Monday Mowlon Vouchers!" ... more

    Advantages Advantages eveything

Dome II is the best club in the uk. It is huge has a brilliant lighting and lasers and the girls are sexy and always up for it. If you've been once they send you free tickets in the post and free drinks vouchers if its your birthday. The best night is Friday if you like older totty and Saturday for all ages. Its only not really any good if its not full but that never happens on Friday and Saturday. The music is brilliant, and the stage show for fridays is hilarious. They often have pop stars doing a track or two like Fats and Small were they ages ago and artfull dodger the other week. There's ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap fun a laugh

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

ITS A SAD DAY WHEN THE DOME CLOSES DOWN , WHERE HAS MONDYA MUULA GONE WHERE HAVE ALL THE FIT BIRDS GONE . The dome was a quality venue it was big a perfect arena type shape where u could walk around and sit in many places. The music was always good and the people and atmosphere was exceptional. The small cafe was brilliant for a little sit down and always provided people with a laugh . People said it was cheesy but it was fun and a great time out. For such a long established venue it is a shame to see it close down . If people in birmingham had to name a club the dome would always be on there ... more

Advantages Advantages themed nights, Happy hour booze, good atmos, excellent accustics

Disadvantages Disadvantages frantic, sweaty, crowded, noisy.....nah thats all part the fun!!!!

It's been an age since I went clubbing, even longer since I last dropped by Dome 2, (Or simply, Dome, as it was once called years ago). After some convincing from the motley crew I work with I said yes to a visit Monday night rather than the more frenzied saturdays. What a surprise!!!!! Even though Mondays is a Student Night (SN) the atmosphere was still electric with an enthusiastic audience and a roving DJ and his videocamera interviewing people and generally sneaking up behind you in case you're having naughty snog. Another great thing about SNs is the cheap booze with most drinks hovering ... more

Advantages Advantages Brilliant Tune, Brilliant Sound System, Excellent Artwork

Disadvantages Disadvantages Its A Not So Good But Cheaper Version Of The Works

The Dome II is free til 11:30pm and open til 3am all weekend. With 2 rooms, you can either club to House/Dance style music in the main room, or vibe to the RnB/Hip:Hop in the upstairs room. I am a future DJ at The Dome II, just doing a couple of hours for my mate who DJ's on a Saturday in the RnB room. With being in the club from opening time til when it shuts, i must admit, it is a bit dead with no atmosphere at the moment, but this is because it turned into a gay bar before it re-opened. People have got to start going back in there, its only really busy between 1-2am, but when i say busy ... more

    Advantages Advantages spacious and cheap

    Disadvantages Disadvantages music

probably not the greatest music played - well i suppose it depends on what type of music you go for. the dome is extremely spacious and excellent for students who want to have a good time and have little money. there is plenty of seats available, and bars are spread all over the place. security is good, and the dance floor is big enough to fit around 600 people. taxis are readily available outside at all times. truly a great night out. coupons are available for money off on drinks, and you can get in the club free before 10.30 provided you have a card. ... more

I am 32 now , but i started going to the Dome when i was 15. It was the best experience of my life. This is where i met my (now) husband. Laugh, Laugh, Laugh, that is all me and my friends did everytime we ventured out there. Thursday nights were usually the best nights, you used to have all the same crowds of people so you could make loads of friends. The music was great, dance music, 70's, it was all about having a laugh!!! I was gutted when i heard it had closed down, then i heard it became a gay club, then i heard it had closed down again.(It's obvious i don't live here anymore). I would ... more
