Advantages: Fun for all the family Disadvantages: Weather can be disappointing
DUINRELL is a superb family holiday resort, situated on the coast of Holland, north of Rotterdam. The resort consists of a theme park set in beautiful countryside with shops, restaurants and accommodation. There are three types of accommodation available. The Duinhostel, especially suited to groups and large families, camping and Duingalows (very nice chalets). Free admission to the vast amusement park is included in the price as well as free admission ... ...I have visited Duinrell on two separate occasions, camping each time. The first time was with Euro Camp, the second with Euro Sites. There is little to choose between the two companies. The tents that they use are identical, just different colours. I think that Euro Sites is slightly cheaper. The nearest town is Wasanaar, which is a 10-minute walk from the camp. It is a fairly affluent Dutch town and is the home of several Dutch TV celebrities. The ...

Advantages: Everything you could possibly want from a family holiday Disadvantages: Can't think of any!!!!!
We have visited Duinrell on 5 occasions, the most recent being the week 11.9.04 to 18.9.04. We have two older children and a 2 year old and absolutely love the place. We stay with UK based tour operators such as Canvas although there are other companies such as Eurocamp and Keycamp. This form of holiday can offer excellent value for money as the price of the holiday includes both accomodation and channel crossings (from UK and Ireland). If you already ... ...the theme park. Duinrell is located about 15 minutes away from The Hague (Den Haag) and about 45 minutes away from Amsterdam. It lies just inland from an award winning beach and on the edge of Wassenaar's beautiful shopping street (Langstraat). The theme park (free for people staying at the campsite) comprises many rides and attractions for all ages but my eldest (13) would prefer more "adult" rides!. The park contains so many hidden activities and ...

Advantages: Great place for all the family Disadvantages: Not for people with phobia of frogs!
Duinrell is not just an amusement park but a campsite as well. My experience of this place is from working on the campsite for a camping holiday company. It is ideally situated about 30 minutes drive north of The Hague in the Netherlands almost equally distant from the ferry port at Rotterdam to the airport at Amsterdam.
This place is fantastic. The campsite is huge with not just camp areas but quite a few different companies on there (the three ... ...to Wassenarseslag until signs for Duinrell appear, then follow them.
Anyway everyone should all go and have great fun. This is an ideal base from which to tour the whole of the Netherlands so you could have a 3 week holiday and still have things to see. ...

Advantages: plenty to do for all ages Disadvantages: the amusements close at 5pm
Duinrell is a camping park complex which has its very own mini theme park. Easily reached from the ferry port at Den Hague - it is about an hours drive. We have stayed at this park several times now usually at Easter or Spring Bank time.
We usually book through one of the British Camping companies and stay in a mobile home, although you can book direct with Duinrell and stay in one of their "Duingalows".
There is plenty to do for kids of all ages ... ...for the teenagers, although there is a height restriction on some of the rides. There is a nice country walk around the boundary of the camp for us oldies.
The main amusements close at 5pm, but there is also the 'Tiki' Pool complex which houses some of the longest water slides in europe - this stays open until 10pm. Staying on site allows free access between 10am and 2pm, but you do have to pay a small extra to use the pools at any other time.
