Quick review of Dzanga-Sangha Reserve (Central African Republic)
A wonderful view of the rainforest in a remote region, seen in various natural history progs. The tour to the bye (open area in the forest) takes you through wet tracks where elephants and lowland gorilla may be seen. The viewing station gives brilliant views of elephants taking salts from holes in the earth, forest antelope and buffalo. Trips by canoe on the river, drinking palm wine (not v.pleasant), and views of elephants coming down to the waters edge. Basic to the extreme camping was the only option for me and areas are designated for this, with well water available. Truly memorable, watch out for soldier ants and plenty of other things! ...
