I booked a car to be collected at Edinburgh Airport on Saturday 23rd of October 2004 for the long weekend and unfortunately I forgot to take with me an utility bill. They refused to allocate me a car not even accepted a high deposit with the same credit card used in the booking. I rented a car through Easycar website. It was smooth and very easy. The same day as I should pick up the car Easycar charged my credit card the full amount. Arriving late evening at Gerona Airport Spain I should pick up the card at Easycar local partner at Girona Airport "Sol Mar", but their was no car allocated for me. ...I tried to cancel with Easycar 5 days before my contract was due to start. Eayscar's very polite response: Sorry. No refund. It's in the Terms and conditions. Now, we are talking about £1240 ! Yes. I offered to pay a "penalty" for cancelling. Same response.
