    Advantages Advantages Cheap, efficient service

Disadvantages Disadvantages No free goodie bag!

easyJet, the web's favourite airline, are about to celebrate their 10th birthday this year. ***A Bit of easyJet History*** easyJet Airline was founded in 1995 by the now famous Cypriot, Stelios Haji-Ioannou. With a loan from his father he leased two Boeing 737-200 aircraft and began operating flights from London Luton, where the head office "easyLand" is based, to Glasgow and Edinburgh, using contractors to supply nearly all the staff throughout the airline. Stelios retired as chairman in 2002 but has now back on the board as a non-executive director. In 1996, with the launch of easyJet's ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy to book, punctual

Disadvantages Disadvantages No frills, no pre-booked seats

So how easy is EasyJet ? Having just had the 'orange' experience whilst visiting Amsterdam, I consider myself in a position to set the record straight... {}{}{} Who are EasyJet ? {}{}{} EasyJet airline co Ltd was founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou in 1995 to take advantage of the deregulation of the European airline industry. EasyJet is a cheap and cheerful, 'no-frills' airline that was floated on the London stock exchange in November 2000. You might also recognise the company as being the star attraction of a TV documentary series called 'Airline'. Since the launch of EasyJet, the 'Easy' empire ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap, cheerful

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes longer routes, prone to delays

I was very hesitant about booking with Easyjet, I have heard many bad experiences from friends, and seen the horror stories of long delays on the TV show! However, when taking a short break to Valencia recently, I needed a cheap flight and Easyjet was my first port of call. I compared the cost with Ryanair and BA and whilst BA was cheapest for outbound flights, (£33) Easyjet was cheapest for return (£17) I considered it an absolute bargain and even if the flight went horribly wrong, it was only £17! *** The Company *** Founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou in 1995, Easyjet has revolutionised ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, a lot of short haul destinations covered

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not always the best deal, hidden charges

Easyjet is one of the more established budget airlines. The offer a no-frills (no ticket, no allocated seat, no free food, drinks or goodies) flight with all the same safety regulations that the regular carriers provide. For years my budget flights had pretty much been exclusively Ryanair, no doubt helped by my proximity to Stansted airport. For a recent trip to Budapest, Ryanair could not help, so we looked on the Easyjet website. BOOKING ONLINE The website is very easy to use and simply laid out, and apart from the orange branding on everything is quite inoffensive in design. To book a ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be cheap, wide variety of destinations and routes, online booking, friendly cabin crew

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be pricey, no frills, not so good check in experience, out of town airports

As a former easyJet Cabin Crew Member I thought that I would write a review about easyJet and try to make it as unbiased as possible! About easyJet: EasyJet PLC is a short-haul low-cost airline established in 1995 by Stelios Haji-Ioannou and has come a long way from flying solely between Luton and Glasgow with two B737's leased from another airline. Today easyJet flies to 80 destinations and has 137 planes with a further 120 A319 planes on order. EasyJet bought out rival carrier Go in 2002 and in 2007 purchased the British Airways subsidiary GB Airways. They are very successful carrying 30 ... more

Advantages Advantages Friendly staff, quick, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages None (well Charles de Gaulle Airport)

Well this review will be constructed in two parts. Firstly, it will cover Easyjet in a more general sense, talking about it’s services and everything. I will also within this review cover my own personal experiences of Easyjet and tell you more about the quality of service I found. As you may or may not know, Easyjet were one of the very first Low-fare airlines. It led the way in changing the cost of travel to places such as Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, Amsterdam and many more. The idea of Easyjet is that it is a no-frills airline, i.e. you basically pay for a seat on a plane, there is no ... more

Advantages Advantages Very cheap, great planes.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Staff can be hit-or-miss in terms of friendliness

Easy Jet… a tale of two extremes! My Story… ********* I can't make up my mind about EasyJet. Let me start from the beginning. In June this year I booked a flight with EasyJet from Belfast to Amsterdam, arrived at 7:30 on the dot to check in, and sat in the departure lounge eagerly awaiting my call to board. It never came. EasyJet had cancelled my flight, without any announcement as I sat in ignorant bliss in departures with priority boarding card number 3. Needless to say when Cancelled eventually appeared on the screen, all the seats on the next available flights had been taken by the people ... more

Advantages Advantages Low cost travel at its best, plenty of destinations, fly into centrally located airports

Disadvantages Disadvantages Seats a bit cramped, lack of product on board.

As my secret plan to visit Disneyland Paris before the end is out was finally in place an airline had to be chosen to transport us from North Wales to Paris, with having Liverpool and Manchester less than an hours drive away we had a few options, we considered one way with Jet2.com and the return with Easyjet as that seemed to be the most cost effective way, until we realised that Jet2 only offered one flight to Paris a day and if the flight got cancelled it would severly impact our holiday so we opted for Easyjet as the offered more than one flight a day departing from Liverpool. *~*About ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap, easy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Hidden costs, reliability

As Europe's leading "no frills" airline it is kind of hard to escape the presence of Easyjet. Everything associated with them is decorated in lurid orange colouring and wherever you look these days they seem to be advertising cheap fares. I think the air fare revolution of recent years is a fantastic phenomenon as far as Joe Public is concerned. Now you can fly around the UK or Europe for fares that in some cases can't even be beaten by some of the coach travel operators, let alone the rail companies. I use Easyjet most frequently for domestic flights but have also used them to fly to and from ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap and cheerful

    Disadvantages Disadvantages bright orange!!!!

Its bright orange, cheap and makes flying Easy, so here's my review of the Easyjet flights to follow up from the review of the easyjet.com booking process. Arriving at your airport all you need to do is turn up at the check-in desk with your ID and attempt to smile at the person behind the desk, but at 5.35 am after having been driving for an hour and almost being late due to the queue at the check-in for your car parking that is a challenge. So skipping the journey and service at the car park (a review previously) I got off the shuttle bus outside the South terminal at Gatwick just 10 minutes ... more
